The Therac-25 tragedy in the 80s taught us how dangerous software bugs ☢️ can be. And now, 40 years later, software applications have become increasingly complex, making it even more difficult to detect and correct bugs.

Enter assistant professor Umang Mathur, a bug-hunting hero working tirelessly to detect and eliminate data race bugs in concurrent systems. 🐞

💡 Using cutting-edge techniques like Race Property Tester (RPT), which samples events to reduce analysis time, asst prof Mathur is pushing the boundaries of software reliability. Recognized with a Distinguished Paper Award, his work could redefine the way software firms test for concurrency bugs. 🏆
