Under the support of H.E. Prof. HOR Peng, Rector of National University of Management, the BA in English weekend class 32/51 implemented a community engagement project focusing on education, the environment, and health at វិទ្យាល័យ គ្រញូងសែនជ័យ in Kratie province. The students planted trees, shared experiences and knowledge to inspire the local students, played football with them, and contributed funds for school improvement.

The project was also financially supported by students, lecturers, and staff from the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

This project is considered a role model for community service by students.

On 04 May 2026, H.E. Prof. Hor Peng, Rector of the National University of Management, chaired the Thesis Orientation 2025–2026 at Hall A, NUM. The event was attended by the Director, lecturers, staff, and students of the Class of 2026 of NUM iLAW Program.

In his remarks, H.E. Rector emphasized that thesis writing is not merely a graduation requirement, but a process that helps shape students’ future careers, academic expertise, and long-term professional direction. He particularly encouraged students to explore research topics related to international law, treaty law, law of the sea, international criminal law, and other legal issues connected to current border disputes and Cambodia’s national interests.

During the orientation, Mr. Din Siden, Director of NUM iLAW, also reported to H.E. Rector on the progress of this year’s thesis preparation, including students’ topic selection, research preparation, and their ongoing efforts in developing research proposals.

We wish all students of the Class of 2026 success in completing their thesis journey.
