♻️ It is a great opportunity for young female students and scientist from all IAEA member countries to gain practical work experience in line with their studies or interests and expose them to the work of the IAEA and the United National as a whole.

👉 Women interested in studying nuclear-related subjects at the master’s degree level are encouraged to apply by 31 October 2025.
From September 2 to 4, Chennai (India) hosted the anniversary PREСICE ENERGY OLYMPIAD organized by Atomstroyexport, JSC (Engineering Division of Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom). Over 12.5 thousand schoolchildren and students from 9 cities and more than 90 schools and colleges of Tamil Nadu State competed in mathematics, chemistry and physics.
The final events took place in the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Chennai with the support of Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre.

ENEN is proud to support the launch of the third edition of the First-Level Specializing Master in Nuclear Safeguards, starting in November 2025 at the Politecnico di Milano – Department of Energy.

This advanced training program is designed to prepare the next generation of professionals in the field of nuclear safeguards, combining expertise in political science, forensics, and nuclear science & technology.

🤝 Organized in collaboration with ENEN member universities, the EU Joint Research Centre (JRC), ESARDA partners, and international organizations, this program is part of the #SENSSEtt Project (Strengthening European Nuclear Safety and Safeguards Education, Training, and Tutoring), co-funded by the European Union under the EU-INSC Instrument.

🎯 Who can apply?
Professionals and officials — with or without prior nuclear background — from national and public organizations, R&D, and industry.

New IAEA publication: Considerations for Deploying Artificial Intelligence Applications in the Nuclear Power Industry

The increasing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across industries has unveiled its transformative potential for enhancing the safety, security, efficiency and reliability of nuclear power plants (NPP). While AI technologies are advancing rapidly in various fields, their adoption in the nuclear power industry remains in the nascent stages, characterized by pilot projects and limited deployment. This publication provides general guidance on the aspects that need addressing when deploying AI applications in NPPs. It presents the latest information, up to date best practices, experiences, benefits and challenges related to AI in the life cycle of NPPs.

IAEA Opens New Curie-Meitner Nuclear Applications Centre, Marking Completion of Lab Modernization

The new Curie-Meitner Nuclear Applications Centre - named after nuclear pioneers Marie Skłodowska-Curie and Lise Meitner - provides modern facilities for three of the IAEA’S eight nuclear science and applications laboratories in Seibersdorf. The Terrestrial Environment and Radiochemistry Laboratory provides support in managing radioactive, industrial, and environmental pollutants. The Plant Breeding and Genetics laboratory, one of five laboratories that make up the Joint FAO/IAEA Agriculture and Biotechnology Laboratories at Seibersdorf, develops high-yield, resistant crops and the Nuclear Science and Instrumentation laboratory helps countries to use a range of analytic nuclear techniques.
