SIG but now with Professor! 🤩

SIGIOT is an interdisciplinary group focusing on engaging students into the research and development of Internet of Things (IoT) projects via hands-on experience. IoT devices will be used which are embedded computing devices with sensing and wireless communication capabilities. 🤔

The program will introduce the students to the concepts of microcontrollers, passive and active sensors, and communication protocols. 😎

No prior knowledge is needed. Group is open for anyone, regardless of your major. 😮

Are you interested? Then don’t miss the first workshop this Saturday 🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️

Edit: Meet-ups are at 11:00 am

Gamers, assemble!
This semester we won't be teaching specific game engines, but rather talking about specific game mechanics and discussing how to make any game better!

🎮 The next SIGGAMEDEV meeting is this Wednesday.
🖇 Topic: Love for indie, depression, or the supremacy of Celeste as a platformer
🗓 Day: February 22
🕕 Time: 18:00
📍 Place: 7E.221.

From SIG Lead: I'm not sure how I got so into platformers, but believe me, it'll be fun.
P.S. I noticed a lack of female representatives at the last meeting, which was to be expected. However, I strongly recommend not to stay on the sidelines. Like the games themselves, game development is open to all (just don't go to Blizzard). If the previous topic discussed the meat shooter DOOM Eternal, in which you had to crush the skulls of various demons in the body of the executioner, Celeste has you as a young girl Madeline who suffers from panic attacks, anxiety, and insecurity.
