Dear Students,

The Ministry of Education is delighted to introduce this year’s Sweet Support initiative! 💝

As finals season approaches, we understand how demanding this period can be. Throughout the week, our team will be visiting public study areas to share encouraging cards and small treats to help brighten your study sessions. Each card contains a Spotify code, scan it to discover a playlist carefully curated to boost your focus, energy, and motivation.

💫 Remember: your hard work matters, and you are more than capable of succeeding. We’re cheering for you every step of the way. Keep going — you’ve got this!

Dear Students,

We would like to clarify the information shared in our previous announcement regarding fee-based retakes.

The earlier message mentioned that the policy would not apply in the Spring 2026 semester. We want to confirm now that currently enrolled Graduate and Undergraduate students, including this year’s freshmen, will not be subject to fee-based retakes: not in Spring, not in the Summer semester, and not in the following academic year.

The fee-based retake policy will apply only to students admitted starting Fall 2026.

Thank you for your understanding.

and don’t worry, we won’t change the text again!

Best regards,
Ministry of Education

Dear students,

We have reached out to the Library Committee regarding the recent updates on academic and research subscriptions; the reply we received was as follows:

Access to Scopus via the national subscription has been temporarily suspended. According to the information received from the provider, at this moment there is no confirmed timeline for when access will be restored.

There is a temporary interruption in access to SciFinder, which has occurred at the beginning of this year. The access issue arose due to some reasons beyond the library's direct control. Please note that SciFinder has not been discontinued, and the access will be restored, hopefully starting from February, pending resolution with the relevant parties.

The library is aware of the importance of this resource for research and teaching and is closely monitoring the situation to ensure access is reinstated as soon as possible. In the meantime, the library can assist faculty and researchers with identifying alternative resources where applicable.

Ministry of Education will keep you informed as soon as we receive any updates.

Dear Students,

As previously announced by the Ministry of Education, our university is launching a new integrated system Academia, which will combine Registrar, Moodle, Bursar’s, and other services into one unified platform.

Below is a summary of the main changes introduced in Academia:

•Students can register for courses either one by one or all at once. During registration, you will select the courses you need and submit them together.

•The new portal allows students to see previous semester courses and access academic tracking data. You will be able to see a list of courses you have not yet completed and those required for graduation.

•The student portal will allow you to export payment reports. This feature was introduced to help track paid retakes and ensure faster refunds when retaken courses are withdrawn.

•One of the major changes was done for corequisite courses. The new portal suggests that courses listed as corequisite will be registered at the same time. Due to high competition for course seats, a proposal has been made to allow students to temporarily hold seats while switching sections. The implementation team is currently reviewing this feature.

Many students were concerned about a potential crash of the new system during registration. During registration, the implementation team will request the approximate number of students and adjust the server to handle an unexpectedly higher load.

As students were also concerned about personal data security, we asked about this as well. The implementation team assured that students’ personal information will be strictly protected.

Best regards,
Ministry of Education
