We would like to address recent events concerning the safety and well-being of our community. Your safety is our utmost priority, and it is essential that we work together to maintain a secure and supportive environment within Binjai Hall.
Safety Reminders:
In light of recent incidents, it is crucial to reinforce the following rules and best practices to ensure the safety of everyone in our community:
No Visitors After 11.30pm: Please remember that visitors are not allowed after 11.30pm and are not permitted to stay overnight.
Visitor Protocol: If you have a visitor within visiting hours, kindly come down to bring them up to your room. This helps us maintain a secure environment.
No Tailgating: Do not allow unauthorized individuals (especially individuals without key fobs) to enter the lift lobby area without proper verification.
Approaching Others: To build a stronger inclusive community, do feel free to reach out to unfamiliar fellow residents at the lift lobby to get to know each other.
Alert Campus Security: If you notice suspicious people around North Hills late at night, call Campus Security immediately.
Building Community Spirit:
In these challenging times, it is essential for us to come together as a community. We want to build a sense of belonging in the Binjai Community. Hence, it is important that we remember that Safety is a collective effort. Building a safer community is a shared responsibility and we encourage each one of you to play an active role in ensuring the well-being of your fellow residents and look out for each other.
Mental Wellness Support:
Lastly and also most importantly, if you or anyone you know is experiencing difficulties, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Hall Council (Ardelia @ardeliaisa and Anjali @anjalijelly), Mental Wellbeing Residential Mentors (Ee Teng <M190040@e.ntu.edu.sg> and Jia Rui <ZHAN0618@e.ntu.edu.sg>), or Faculty-in-Residence IC of Wellbeing (Prof Michael <ZFLI@ntu.edu.sg>).
