Greetings, parents. I am Nilanjana Sanyal, representing NSOMTC, short form of NS Online Math Tutoring Classes. I am pleased to announce the creation of two exclusive Telegram group communities for Indian and NRI students enrolled in IB Math AA HL and IB Math AA SL. The primary aim is to encourage a collaborative environment where students with a positive mindset can share their mathematical skills and challenges. This platform will promote mutual assistance in clarifying doubts and understanding mathematical concepts. As an online IB Math tutor, I will also contribute by engaging in discussions about various topics covered in the IB Math AA syllabuses. Our goal is to establish two private communities, each accommodating a maximum of 50 students. If you are interested in enrolling your child in these communities, kindly contact me.

Every moment in life is an opportunity to learn and the world around us is our greatest classroom. We absorb wisdom from the people we encounter, making each of us both a student and a teacher in this journey of life. On this Teacher’s Day, let us celebrate the educators who reside within us, for they shape our growth and understanding every day. Happy Teacher’s Day to the teachers that guide us from within!
In India, IB schools recently conducted their August examinations and many schools have already released the results. How did your child perform? I believe that there isn’t an absolute benchmark to gauge performance. What are your thoughts? While the IB board assigns 7 levels that undoubtedly provide valuable insights in to a student’s knowledge of a particular subject, there could be other factors at play. For instance, a student might not have been feeling well on the day of the examination or might possess adequate knowledge but struggle with writing speed.
In my opinion, the most crucial aspect is continuous development. If a student has improved from a Level 3 to Level 5, they should certainly be commended. However, if the previous performance was at a Level 7, it’s essential to delve into the root cause of the change.
