#environment The Hollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary contains India's only gibbons – the hoolock gibbons, and Northeastern India's only nocturnal primate – the Bengal Slow Loris. Located in Assam.

Like the other gibbons, they are diurnal and arboreal. They live together in monogamous pairs, which stake out a territory.
Hoolocks are the second-largest of the gibbons, after the siamang. It is the only ape found in India. They are found in forested areas of Northeast India, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Southern China.
