Mother’s Day prayer:

I [we] thank you, God the Creator of us all, for my [our] mother[s].

I thank you that she gave me life and nurtured me all those years. She gave me my faith, helping me to know you and to know Jesus and his ways. She taught me how to love and how to sacrifice for others. She taught me that it was okay to cry and that I should always tell the truth.

Bless her with the graces she needs and which you want to give her today. Help her to feel precious in your eyes today and to know that I love her. Give her strength and courage, compassion, and peace.

Bless her this day with your love.
Are you ready for the Holy Spirit?

Feast of Pentecost mass timings: 8am, 10am, 12 noon, and 5.30pm.

In moments of moral and spiritual weakness, do we have ready recourse to the strengthening and comforting spirit?

Feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help - 27th June
Mother of Perpetual Help,
with the greatest confidence
we come before your holy picture
to be inspired by the example of your life.
Our Mother of Perpetual Help icon was entrusted to the Redemptorist Congregation in 1866 by Pope Pius IX with the charge "to make Her known", and it represents the mystery of God's great love for us, which offers eternal redemption.
Join the Redemptorists and thousands around the world as we celebrate the feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help on June 27. And as many parishes do, the celebration is held at the nearest weekend beginning 24th June:

27th June - Today, in the Redemptorist calendar, we celebrate the feast of Mary, OMPH. May we always be devoted to her like Jesus. May we make her known as our loving spiritual mother. "Behold your mother." John 19:26.
Saint Alphonsus had a tremendous devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. We are also called to foster a devotion to the Mother of God. Mary is our great intercessor. From the wedding at Cana to the present day, she intercedes for all those who call out for her aid. Mary intercedes to God on our behalf, securing His graces for our benefit and bringing those graces to us. We only need to call out to her in prayer, just as St. Alphonsus lovingly called out, "Mary, my hope." Join us in our 9 weeks of Novena Devotion (Saturdays) to this year's ANP theme "Mary, Our Mother of Hope".
We ask the Spirit to lead us, to give us courage to face the storms in our lives so we can that eventually trust the waves, the ocean, the currents, knowing we are not the captain of our ship or our lives but placing the steering in God hands. Amen

Join us in Praise and Worship 21st July to Be Still and Know He is God. See you at Victor Dorai, Pastoral Block, Church of Saint Alphonsus (Novena Church)🙏

God our Father, we are the work of your designs. Your will is to gather all of us as one family in yourself. Open us to your love and life given for free as a gift. May we learn from you and your Son to give ourselves totally and freely to working for justice and equality for our brothers and sisters.

Grant that we may also contribute our share in building up a just and united society. This we ask through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Wishing everyone a blessed National Day! Let us continue to pray for peace and for our nation’s success. God bless our tiny dot! 🇸🇬

The Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary - 8th September
Mass schedule for 8th Sept - 12.15pm and 6.30pm
Wishing you all a Happy Feast of the Birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary

As we celebrate the Nativity of Mary, virgin of Nazareth, let us look at her. She was an ordinary young girl but chosen to be someone special by her vocation/call to be the Mother of Jesus – God’s own Son. Was she any different from other girls of her time? She had her own plans and dreams, for sure, but her answer to the angel changed the course of her ordinariness to something greater. Joseph too had a greater responsibility: to follow the call of God through dreams and cooperate with the will of God in fulfilling His plan. Today we ask ourselves: am I able to set aside my plans and programmes to follow the call of God like Mary and Joseph, even when it is difficult, or I am not able to comprehend it?
