note that nothing and the agency apologized to the influencers, when the viewers should've gotten an explanation instead as the promotional campaign was like that on purpose

let's recap:
- nothing & agency decided to make a promotional campaign saying that the cmf phone 1 has the most powerful chip in the price range (false)
- the tweets were meant to target specific chips that competitors used
- influencers were paid to promote the product, and were able to use #ad if they wanted to (false) but were paid less in return
- nothing was angry at the people that added #ad and made them repost without the disclaimer
- people exposed the dishonest campaign
- a day later, the negative posts disappeared magically with nothing apologizing to the creators with assurance that such thing won't happen again

shady tactics, lies, deceipt and misinformation, all swept under the rug. is this really a good company to support?

CMF/Nothing's student referral program is not secure, and you can find user data of the referee through its API, including:
- first/last name,
- phone number,
- email,
- address and area

CMF's referral program allows you to make a code, which you can share to earn points. At the end of the program, the top 50 on the leaderboard will win CMF by Nothing products.

Besides the obvious security issue, referral programs have a problem, since people sharing links may not want you to purchase the best product, as they're incentivized with receiving products themselves.

Update: Nothing has silently taken the website down, but just like with their agency shenanigans, it's likely that we won't get any apologies or clarification, and the company will wait until this whole thing dies down.
