Taxi drivers are dissatisfied with working conditions in the industry, particularly due to unfair competition from ride-hailing platform(s) and a lack of effective government regulation.
The protest is scheduled from approximately 10:00 to 13:00 and will include a convoy route:
As a result, traffic will be restricted in central areas and on major roads and bridges.

After more than 50 years at Latvian National Museum of Art, Māra Lāce is stepping down from her role as director, a position she held for 25 years.
During this time, major development projects were realized, including the reconstruction of the main building (2013–2016) and the creation of a unified museum network that brought several branches together into one structure.
For her final working day, she arrived at the museum in a retro car (all the taxi drivers are busy now ) from the Riga Motor Museum.

This season, the Riga Taste Festival introduces bakery week, inviting to rediscover one of the city’s most iconic desserts — Vecrīga. Throughout the festival, pastry shops and bakeries will present their own interpretations, including KŪRE, Better Bread, Mārtiņa Beķereja, Rocket Bean, Kalve, All Cappuccino, and many others. The festival runs from April 13 to 26.
