update on me watching live action atla, because i’ve been getting more obsessed with the universe lately

the pilot is great, it introduces the story with a strong point.
episode 2 is alright, but i see the changes in story and motivation of the characters. i don’t know if it’s going to work out or not
currently watching episode 3, and i’m already starting to get worried. why introduce the antagonists that are supposed to come way later to be more threatening? i’m afraid they’re going to handle the fire nation very badly in this one….

episode 3 is such a snooze fest
for everyone who knows the og show: they smashed omashu, freedom fighters and teo in one episode and there’s no bumi???? and i don’t understand the point of it at all
so boring…. 20 minutes is left and i’m legit falling asleep

despite amazing visuals, i need more substance behind it and they’re already failing at that… i hope other episodes do better

aang doesn’t seem like a little kid in here. netflix tried to make it darker and it’s good that it’s somewhat realistic to what the war should look like, but bro.. it’s still a kids/ya show. these are still children. make them act like it…

going to sleep after this episode is pretty sad, ngl

i’m halfway through episode 4 and i’m ready to give up

yeah i’m giving up after this episode, im tired of watching this

not disappointed because i never had any expectations, but it’s a bit sad that netflix is always like this :)

oh well

the pacing is broken, the “dark” side of the adaptation is meaningless, there’s nothing behind the pretty picture, they put all of the meaningful characters in the same season, completely breaking their point and giving up on the suspense……

there were two shows that i was excited to see this year: avatar 2024 and percy jackson 2024. but after watching avatar, and hearing how many similarities there are between the two shows, i don’t even want to watch percy jackson at this point because i don’t want to be sad
