Today I was asked about my iems in the comments, about sound and positioning. This guy wants to buy it for competitive games. I would like to duplicate my answer here and maybe change it slightly. Because the topic is interesting.
Well, directional sound, positioning depends on the game engine, not the headphones. Remember this. The sound card is also important, because the built-in will not be enough. We need good sound quality, not farting in the ears + some studio headphones have a lot of resistance.
What is the result? The postscript "gaming" to headphones doesn't mean absolutely nothing, any headphones are suitable for games, whether it studio or monitor - doesn't matter.
What to buy? It all depends on your budget, but if you buying headphones with a microphone, feel free to divide the price by 2, this is the sound quality you get. If these headphones are wireless, divide by 3, if they have RGB... You get the idea.

I spent 63 hours in this game, finally got the achievement for 500 seconds run. I died because I didn't know at what time the centipede appears, absorbing crystals... I think I can do better
