"I'm not going to advise him/her as I commit the sin myself"

Iblis has convinced some worshipers not to forbid evil on the basis that only righteous people ought to do so.
They say:

"I am not worthy because I am not righteous enough, so how could I impose on others?"

This is wrong, for he should forbid others from committing sins including sins that he, himself, is committing.
However, it is better if he stops committing this sin and then forbids others.
His admonishment would be more effective this way.
Hasan al-Basrī رحمه الله said to Mutarraf Ibn Abdillāh: "Advise your companions!"

‎He replied: "I'm scared to say something to them that I don't practise myself."

‎Hasan said: "May Allah have mercy upon you! Who is there amongst us who does everything he says? This is how Shaytan attains his objective, so that no one enjoins goodness and forbids evil."

إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ خَرُّواْ سُجَّدًا وَبُكِيًّا

"When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping."

What can you do in 10 minutes?
One of the Tabi’een asked: What is the fastest way to receive Allah’s mercy?

Allah's Mercy is received fastest by the one who listens to the Qur’an, as Allah says:

وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنْصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

"So when the Qur'an is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy." [7:204]

If the listener receives all that Mercy;

- What then about the one who is reciting the Qur'an?

- What then about the one who memorizes the Qur’an?

- What then about the one who contemplates the meanings of the Qur’an?

- What then about the one who acts upon the Qur’an?!

- and what about those who teach it, call to it, practice it and exert support for it with all their strength?!

Be the upright woman!

When the women have falling
into tabarruj, be the one who observes the correct hijab. When the women have gone out to the places of men, stick closely to the deepest part of your homes. When the Muslim women have left the sunnah of our beloved ‎ﷺ, be the one who holds on to it and acts upon it !

Strive for righteousness and remain upright in a world where Shaytan has rendered the women crooked. May Allah protect us all from falling off the path and guide us to the actions that lead us to Firdaws !

آمين
"A person will never be considered a muslim even if he says the Shahādah from morning to night, and even if he leaves Shirk, and if he does Hajj every year, and even if he keeps posting about his religious ecstacy in Ramadān and when he's around the Ka'bah, and if he shouts Labbaik in the loudest of his voice, until he or she adhere to the principles of Walā and Barā - the Barā'ah from Kufr in Kafirin and the Walā to Tawhīd and Muwahhidīn. You must have Barā'ah from a Kafir and what it entails, because Allāh subhanahu wa ta'ala despises them, and their Kufr. Both — get that right — both.

A sign of loving Allāh is not just saying it or alleging it, or putting in the bio like they do. You don't love Allāh until you accept Walā in Him and Barā'ah in Him."

- Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril حفظه الله
A rough translation from chechen:

"The Kuffar, who do not believe in Allah, who have no religion, preserve their Amanah among themselves more than the Muslims nowadays, even though it has been imposed on Muslims."

"Sins strip you of your wealth and blessings. They bring you hardships.

They make your life difficult, their ammunition and strength, you hand over to your enemy.
They bring you illnesses and trials.
You feel everywhere you go, everything is against you.
All the doors are shut in your face.
Jobs, you can’t find one, marriage, everyone rejects you, promotions, they keep turning them down.
Every time you think you saved some money, you end up with an expenditure that takes away that saving."

"I remember someone saying «How many of you can say confidently, as if they're standing in front of Allah, and say 'Ya Rabb, I lived for you'?»
And I remember hearing that and thinking all my hardship and all my suffering being justified in my brain. Almost like I’m proud of myself.
Ya Allah I’m living for you. I’m doing ibadah everyday. Waking up, for you. That’s all the motivation I need.

I wish that was enough for me before and I wish that was enough for people today."

-- My dear friend and companion, may Allah protect you from harm.
