Strong reminders, anecdotes, advices, etc. is all good, however being eager for actual 'Ilm should be our concern. Read, listen and seek for it eagerly.
And brothers, remember: Just because it's a topic for the sisters doesn't mean you shouldn't acquire knowledge about it.

You (will) have sisters, daughters, nieces etc. and if they have no one to teach them that knowledge, who else will do it if not you?

Very strong admonishing words from our beloved Shaykh, حفظه الله. Read it, you will not regret it!

Imam Ibn al-Qayim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

“Excessive food and drink, excessive sleep, useless meetings with people, empty conversations - all this creates disorder in a person’s soul, scatters his thoughts in different directions, blocks his path leading to Allah Almighty, weakens him, hinders him and, finally, stops him."

- Zad al-maad volume 2, p 82-83.
"If we can’t control our desire to eat excessively or to eat unhealthy, how will we be able to control ourselves from the desire to sin?"

"I testify for anyone who stands up for Palestine but deliberately ignores our noble sisters in the camps in Shām and does not care about them, that he has Nifaq. Al-Walaa Wal-Baraa applies according to Iman and not sympathy."

Advice
If you’re living without sunnahs and sunnah prayers, and without praying witr and dhuhaa prayer, and without reciting anything from the Quran and without reciting morning and night adhkaar, and without seeking knowledge, and without fasting sunnah days, and without sadaqah, and without any work for the akhirah, then do not be surprised if you lose happiness and peace of mind in your life, and don’t be surprised of standing in the akhirah empty handed while those around you get called, so one of them can enter from the door of Al-Rayyaan (for fasting) or the door of prayer, and the other from the door of Sadaqah, and the other from the door of maintaining the ties of kinship, or the door of جhad.

Your salary of years builds you houses in dunyah, and the sunnahs build you a house in Jannah. So take care of your sunnah deeds, for they will be your saviours in akhirah!
"These (Muslim) women should fear Allah and abandon these western thoughts that the home is a prison!"
"Just imagine how beautiful the Qur’an flows out of the blessed vocal chords of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Imagine with me how mighty, dignified and humbling the words of Allah were flowing from the lips of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم.

You go on the internet and you see a clip of a child or a famous reciter reciting Qur’an and your heart trembles. You can't turn it off and you listen to it a second and a third and a fourth and a fifth time, over and over again. That child reciting or that famous reciter got the Qur’an through a series of men over the course of fourteen centuries, so just imagine with me how beautiful the Qur’an flows from the first man Allah revealed the Qur’an to.

Imagine how beautiful it was from the man who listened to the Qur’an from Jibreel ‎عليه السلام.

One book is equal to the entire Dunya!

"We advise the students of knowledge to strive to acquire books, even if he has to sell his car or his turban just to buy a book. One book is equal to the entire world!"

[المعاند، للشيخ مقبل-،ص 495]
"The first, most important and most precious thing you can and should give your children is to insert in their minds at an early age firm knowledge of Tawheed, knowledge of Allah."

- Shaykh Musa Jibril حفظه الله
"A man brandished a sword over the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم saying 'Who will protect you from me?'

He صلى الله عليه وسلم replied "Allah! Allah! Allah!"*

Feel the same about your hardships and fears."

"We Western women have been brainwashed into thinking that you Muslim women are oppressed. But truly, we are the ones who are oppressed; slaves to fashions that degrade us, obsessed with our weight, begging for love from men who do not want to grow up. Deep down inside, we know that we have been cheated. We secretly admire and envy you, although some of us will not admit it. [...] We Christian women need to see what life is really supposed to be like for women. We need you to set the example for us, because we are lost."

Perhaps the most terrifying question is how 85 days have passed without me feeling how I was alive...

Ultimately, who is dead? The one who was killed as a result of the bombing, or the one who lived and watched those they loved get killed??

"On a normal occasion, dry lips and a growling stomach are annoying and at times painful, but when one knows he is serving Allah, it showers his heart with pleasure like that which the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: 'As long as you are not mad at me, nothing matters.'

The stomach is empty, but it gets full knowing that Allah is watching, knowing and seeing that he left desires just for His sake.

One who loves Allah would not want it any other way. He endures hardship, yet he coats it with a head bowed down in humility asking Allah to accept, because if Allah accepts it then that thirst and hunger is nothing. Again, like what the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم did at at-Taa’if. The lips are dry, the throat is thirsty, but the heart gets ecstatic knowing and awaiting the day you meet Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala.

Longing for the Shahaﺩa

Abdullah bin Umar رضي الله عنه said:

"My father Umar during the battle of Uhud told his brother Zaid: 'Take my shield.' Zaid replied: 'I'm seeking martyrdom just like you are.' and he refused to take it. They both ended up leaving it!"
