I'm not Buddhist. That is a term reserved for those who judge me. I'm an unuttered name on a screen, a nothing. I just meditate.

Christ's only commandment was for us to love each other.
So we killed him.

If Samsara is seeing faults in others(Tilopa?)
Perhaps,
Nirvana is free of judgment.

Or even free of speculation at all.

Judging others, we limit ourselves by that very measurement. Not perceiving the enlightened qualities of others, we do not recognize ourselves. Meditation becomes difficult, and we find rest nowhere.

Having himself mastered the true import of the state of total
completeness and knowing the philosophical tenets and spiritual
teachings of both the non-buddhists and the buddhists, the teacher can
generate a direct understanding of the heart of the matter in the
student’s mind. He knows how to show the sublime path which leads
the student to realize that quintessence. The student should rely on a
person who is not tainted by the distractions of worldly concerns or
mere semantic distinctions. Such a worthy mentor is to be pleased by
all sorts of gifts.

This precious treasury, the authentic master
Who paints black alum on gold to purify it,
Entices because of his limitless value.

Contrasted to such a true mentor is one who is confused about the
meaning of the spiritual teachings and philosophical tenets of the
buddhists and non-buddhists. Craving goods and semantic distinctions,
delighting in distractions and entertainments, he breaks his vows and
commitments. One who leads people who are faithful yet lack
guidance down a dead-end path and who pursues material gain through
religion moves outside of the true meaning of the primordial reality.
Thus he teaches to others mere words, as if they were somehow
spiritual. He even lacks the fortune to understand for himself. It stands
to reason that this monkey show should be abandoned.

Accusers offended by opinions.
Barking at their own shadows.
"He did this!"
"They said that!"

Realize.. it does not affect you nor the truth you hold. You feel threatened, seeing it put to question. Realizing your opinion means nothing. That it is nothing. Won't change a thing. It can only kill your identity if you identify with it. Why suffer like you are under threat?

The way to Enlightenment is the opening of your heart.

People who like to gossip and trash talk with you. Most likely, they enjoy gossiping and talking trash about you as well.
I'm just saying.
Nothing is hidden.
They should know that.

Everyone who speaks and thinks bad of me will die.

A wise guy approached a man and, without warning, hit him in the back of the head, making a loud clap. When the man turned around, surprised and upset, the wise guy asked him:
The sound we've just heard. Did it come from my hand or your head?
Rolling up his sleeves, the man answered sternly:
The pain I am feeling leaves no room for such considerations.

Enlightenment takes tremendous effort. If you're lucky to find a teacher, you could reduce time wasted pursuing leads but not the effort. To find a teacher to teach you how to attain enlightenment in this very life is so rare that it borders on impossible. Let's be real and drop our arrogance, and put in the effort stripped of projections and assumptions. Listen, read, reflect, and relate it to your very life and this mundane reality.

At that time the World Honored One spoke a gatha, which says,

If one sees me in forms,
If one seeks me in sounds,
He practices a deviant way,
And cannot see the Tathagata.

Sometimes, practitioners of Dharma can find comfort in the idea of continuation past this life.
We could look at the nihilists/materialists with pity for the stress and suffering caused by their extreme view of mortal annihilation.

This is a wrong view. Wrongful imputations on yet another extreme. Endless rounds of suffering since beginningless time should foster renounciation and a sense of urgency. Knowing that if we don't make use of our current situation, why would the next life be any different in a positive sense?

The aspiring buddha will be like the nihilists, in that he will consider this his last rebirth.

“Apart from this, the teachings that the state of liberation results from accumulating much karma from one life to another are effective for bringing about temporary happiness in the minds of beings, but enlightenment in this way is extremely difficult. Consider that such teachings may have a merely provisional meaning.”
