Is It Still Worth Buying New Gift NFTs? My Prediction & Recommendation:

🔮 My Prediction:

The official Telegram Gift NFTs are likely to launch on two more key dates: September 1 and October 10 — which happens to be Pavel Durov’s birthday. I believe Durov himself will release a special gift NFT on that date. After this, the official gift NFT drops may stop.

However, Telegram may continue releasing collaboration-based NFTs, similar to how Snoop Dogg launched his collection. These will probably only happen when a new celebrity joins Telegram and is open to collaborating. In such cases, Telegram will launch co-branded NFTs and share the revenue with the celebrity. This could become a long-term event.

That said, I think the official Telegram Gift NFT series might end after Durov's drop on October 10.

🎁 Now, to the main point: Is it still worth buying newly launched Gift NFTs?

✅ My answer: YES — but it depends on luck.

After the recent upgrade, it’s now purely based on chance. If you get a rare item, it could be very profitable — and supply still matters a lot. The good news is, even if you don’t get something rare, you can usually resell it at or near the original buying price. So in my opinion, there's 0% risk, and potential returns depend on:

Supply

Aesthetic appeal of the gift

🚫 I’m personally not too interested in celebrity collaborations like the Snoop Dogg drop — mainly because they tend to have a very high supply, which could hurt the market in the long term. Still, people have made profits from them.

If a big name like Cristiano Ronaldo were to join Telegram and launch a collection, the success of that drop would mainly depend on the celebrity’s fame.
