...ok then.

Give us about 30-60 minutes or so to digest the response to this second launch and we'll make a couple of announcements.

Just so folks understand the scope of the current launch, we manufactured and made available 2.7x the stock as was available for this run as opposed to the last run, and it appears that this run is selling out.. Faster. So a couple of points I'd just like to throw out there to remind folks of the protocols!

1. If you have incorrectly input your address, shipping information, billing information, SIZING, or anything else that will require a modification for your order, please e-mail support@nomadcomplex.com with your full name, order number, and the requested changes that you will need to make.

2. If you have any other issues that require customer service, please e-mail support@nomadcomplex.com with your full name, order number (if applicable) and as much detail about the nature of your issue as you can. I am glued to my desk and ready to assist.

3. "Does this mean that my order is going to take forever to ship?" - NO. Orders may take a few extra days to ship than our usual 24-48 hour turnaround, however I currently have several lovely individuals at our warehouse who are packing up your orders and shipping them out as they come in with love, grace and detail. We have a FULL staff this week as opposed to last week when our warehouse manager had to go on medical leave, so orders this weekend are going to ship at the speed of light. We've got many hands on your clothes as we speak.

4. "Are you going to restock these? This is nuts." - Give me the afternoon to figure out a game plan, and I promise we will do what we can!

5. "Nomad you suck ass my size sold out fuck you" - Totally. I just want to re-iterate we manufactured 2.7x the stock levels this time around, and it appears that.. they have sold out.

While we can't share specific numbers, as a rough example, the 4XL Pawlaroid t-shirts are our lowest selling size by a large margin, and the number we had the least stock of. We had 48 of them. They sold out in 3 minutes.

Thank you for bearing with us, and don't fret. We have got your back.

SMALL UPDATE;

I will be meeting with our print studio later this evening in order to discuss a path forward about expanding on the Pawlaroid design.

Just to keep you in the loop, we have been working with our studio for almost eight years now and they treat us like gold. In order to create this second, and much larger, run of clothing, they put several other projects on hold just to accommodate us. I do not think we can get into their good graces a third time, but we are going to investigate the idea of opening these up for pre-orders.

The pride designs are extremely labor intensive due to the large number of colors that are used to print them. For silk screen printed t-shirts, each color is laid down and cured on to the garment individually. The more colors a t-shirt has, the more trips around the press the clothing has to take. The more trips around the press that clothing has to take, the more it is heated and the more it is susceptible to shrinking. Shrinking means that the screens will no longer line up with the other 7 colors of the design and that the design will be ruined. So each garment takes GREAT care to properly position and ensure that it is well printed.

Our goal making these limited edition for pride month was not to try and make them seem scarce and rare. It was simply that we only stock these labor intensive pieces during pride month at the height of their popularity.

tl;dr - Print studios have PTSD over pride season because it means gay rainbow shit is coming in full swing and it means lots of colors. These are truly a labor of love.

I cannot stress enough how unprecedented this has been. We have been doing this for eight years and this has eclipsed any project we have ever unveiled by an enormous margin. This is, frankly, fucking insane.

We will have an announcement tomorrow regarding a path forward for the Pawlaroid design due to its incredible demand.

Please note that this is the final hurrah of Nightlife Pride however - After its third year, this will be retired for good. Nightlife will continue to sell as part of our regular lineup!

And finally; We understand and appreciate the sentiments of frustration many folks have had today regarding this rollout. It feels like a con hotel block opening, we HATE when people want things and we can't provide them. This truly was an exception. We will work our hardest to ensure we can provide you with your wants and desires. That being said, we WILL NOT tolerate frustration or anger directed toward our staff in any capacity that is crossing the line into disrespect.

We will be around to answer your questions, however for now I am getting to packing.

Hello.

So for the sake of transparency, I'd like to inform you of how these rollouts went. It was never our intention to create limited edition items that only a select few people would have or to market them as "Rare" to our customers for the sake of scarcity. We undeniably despise this tactic of marketing commonly employed by "luxury" brands to drum up buzz and FOMO. (Supreme anyone?)

Pawlaroid and Nightlife Pride are two very labor intensive shirts due to their color process. They take about 6x as long as a 2 color print t-shirt to be fully completed. Due to this factor, as well as this sort of clothing being more popular during Pride Month, we only make it available DURING Pride Month. It is our goal and intention to make these available for anyone who wants one during this time.

The fact of the matter is... It just so happened about 15x the normal number of people who order our clothing at first launch, ordered them within the first few hours last week. And it just so happens that, despite nearly tripling certain inventories, that happened again this week.

"But Nomad, why didn't you order more if it was so popular lol" - We literally couldn't. The stock of blanks was bled dry. But also, and more importantly, our studio has worked around us and around the clock to produce the second wave that they did. And it JUST so happens that even with those numbers, they sold out even faster. It's not that we didn't want to make more, it's that we literally could not produce more. This has never happened in the history of Nomad Complex. So I apologize to anyone who may feel that this rollout was due to scarcity or a "limited edition" item. We despise fast fashion tactics, and those of you who have known us long enough know that well. This just REALLY was an anomaly.

Basically what we're saying is it's all your guys' fault so you're not allowed to be mad at us.

Here’s a fun statistic for you.

It is 12:25 on Thursday, June 8th. Our 2nd drop for the Pride run came out on June 3rd at 12pm PST.

We have had 4 staff working around the clock to pack and fulfill these orders. I personally have been working at a 4am or 6am start time since Sunday. Between all of our staff we have spent a combined 193 hours packing/shipping orders since Saturday.

We are happy to announce that we have officially finished packing all orders that were placed between 12pm and 1:12pm on Saturday, June 3rd. Yes you are reading that correctly. It has taken 193 hours to ship 72 minutes worth of orders.

We have just finished Order #58000. All outstanding orders from the 2nd run and any regular orders from the last week should be packed up and shipped out by end of day tomorrow.

Final reminder folks. You’ve got about ~12 hours. The pre-orders close at 11:59pm and we will NOT be restocking these past these pre-orders. πŸ™πŸ»

I know it’s hot out but if you’re thinking you love this design and wanna wear it all through the year, consider a hoodie too. πŸ‘€ Partly cause they’re gunna be super comfy and also partly cause our printer needs some more sleeve print jobs to justify the job. 🀣

Hello again animals. Damon here. πŸ’›

It has come to our attention that last night around 8pm PST we began experiencing a major server issue with our domain that has caused our e-mail forwarding to stop working. Due to this error, any e-mails sent to
support@nomadcomplex.com after roughly 7:30pm PST last night have not made it to our inbox. This is due to an error stopping forwarding from our support email (support@nomadcomplex.com) to our home email (nomadcomplexmain@gmail.com)

I'll be troubleshooting this error today and attempting to find some sort of solution. The error is far beyond the scope of my knowledge so I will be hunting down a professional to come in and take a look at the site to fix it. This may take some time as I am unfortunately not the right person to know how this is done. I'm the Everything guy, but technical stuff is not my strong point.

In the meantime, if you need to contact us for any reason, please e-mail

nomadcomplexmain@gmail.com

Or send us a direct message on Twitter (
@NomadComplex)

And we will be here to assist you! I apologize for the inconvenience and I understand the ramifications of this error when so many packages are currently in transit and folks need assistance. We will do our best to fix this ASAP.

This issue has been resolved.
πŸ‘25❀17❀‍πŸ”₯10
Apologies for the double message in one day. I just wanted to let everyone now that after thorough testing, the e-mail and communication issues have been resolved.

Going forward, all customer service inquiries are to be sent to;

support@nomadcomplex.com

It had gone unnoticed by me for quite some time that communications to our support@nomadcomplex.com email address were then being responded to with our home base nomadcomplexmain@gmail.com email address. This has been creating some confusion with multiple support email addresses being visible to customers.

Now that our domain has been ironed out, our nomadcomplexmain@gmail.com email address will no longer be privy to any communications with customer support going forward. Any lingering tickets that are open via communication through that email are still valid, so don't fret if we have been communicating via that address.

It has all been thoroughly tested and is now working at 100%. I'll also be spending this weekend working on the backend to try and find a solution for a static contact form to display on our website going forward to easier catalogue, track and separate customer service requests so that there are no more issues going forward.

I sincerely apologize for anyone affected by this downtime of our customer support e-mail and thank you for allowing us some time to remedy this situation so that we can provide better customer service in the future.

-Damon. πŸ’›

Hello everyone. Still gay? Same.

I wanted to have a little chat with everyone about the "Pawlaroid" design. We want to give you some insight and also ask for some feedback because we are potentially debating adding Pawlaroid to our permanent line up. So here's the situation.

The quantity of inventory we ordered for the Pawlaroid design was triple what our previous years pride inventory was. The second run, was about 2.7x the FIRST runs quantity. And then as you all know we released them for pre-order. These were also billed as "Limited edition". Over 7 years of pride merchandise, our limited edition merchandise has been through Pride ONLY as it pertains to a specific month. It was and never would be for items that we are trying to just sell out fast. Something else you need to know is that designs with this many colors are VERY expensive. A 7 color shirt is almost double the cost of a 2 color shirt. And that means these are not nearly as high a profit item as many of our other designs. This is why we do not usually stock them as often.

Without insider knowledge of how our runs were released (Where we were MASSIVELY stocked up), it would be easy to assume that we were using a tactic called "Scarcity marketing." This is a marketing technique in which a company will intentionally print very few of a unit, allow them to "Sell out" super fast, and then go "Whoa look how fast these sold out. We're going to make them again, and you better buy quick cause they're going to sell out again!"

This is a marketing tactic we fucking DESPISE.

Long time fans of ours will know our position against fast fashion, drop-shipping and scarcity tactics. It is completely antithetical to our mission statement. It is our belief that we have a duty to provide quality products to whoever wants them with the intention to wear them out 'til they're ripped, full of holes and well loved. Sometimes even past that.
❀135πŸ‘7πŸ’‹2🍌1
However, whether we like it or not, we unintentionally "Scarcity marketed" these. It was NOT an intentional circumstance. You all just happened to like it so much that despite our largest initial run of a shirt EVER, you cleaned it out... three times. Despite doing a pre-order run for them however, we have received over 250 e-mails since July 12th please requesting to make these available once more.

So my question to everyone; If we were to add these back to our lineup for GOOD... would you be okay with that? I'm asking because there are two schools of thought here;

1. I fully recognize that part of the driving factor of purchasing this design for many people was because of the buzz created by how quickly the first and second run sold out. This may lead some people to be a bit miffed with us for this rollout because the exclusivity factor that may have influenced their decision will no longer apply. It would appear that we bait and switched the "Limited edition" nature of this design and I fully respect anyone who may feel this way.

2. There are still a large number of people who would love to receive this design. And making it a part of our regular lineup will give more people access to this design that has clearly had a big impact on our customer base in a big, big way. And knowing some people feel left out eats me up, I have to be honest.

Let me know what you think in the comments of this message. I'm very interested in hearing your opinions.

Womens underwear has been a hot topic in the past. They shouldn't be, but hear us out. We fully recognize and appreciate the need for inclusivity, especially in a fandom like ours where our diversity is our biggest unity.

We may seem big in the fandom, but we are small from a small business standpoint. That means we have to take calculated efforts when we decide what we can and can't stock in our warehouse due to how fast they move.

In 2021/2022 we ran 2 Kickstarters for Racerbacks/Boyshorts. The first one got funded. The second one did not, by a wide margin. From a purely business standpoint, we had to make the difficult decision to stop carrying these as we never were able to bring ourselves out of the red for them. When creating custom products like this, manufacturers require minimum order amounts. The sales, sadly, did not ever meet these minimum amounts. This left a lot of folks disappointed, understandably so. Many were under the impression that we stopped carrying them due to nefarious reasons; we cannot stress how wrong those people were. After it was clear from our 2nd Kickstarter that we could not hit these requirements, we had to scrap the project.

It's 2023 now. We have talked to our manufacturer, and due to our relationship they will begin allowing us lower minimum order requirements to manufacture these custom undies.

The tl;dr is:

Racerbacks/Boyshorts are coming back. August 2023.

Hey everyone. Panko here. Damon is going to be off for a few days.

Which is good, because when he comes back he's going to realize that Pawlaroid has been completed EARLY. The pre-order run is already complete a full week earlier than expected! Myself and the minion are hunkered down in the warehouse and will be folding/shipping these out over the next 2-3 days, so keep an eye out on your e-mails for your tracking confirmation! Please note it will take a while to get through them all but we are working at the speed of light!
