The last two months have been among the most substantial development cycles in recent memory for Nolus

A major Money Market upgrade — v0.8.16 — is set to go live next week, bringing new features, performance optimizations, and smarter lifecycle management for margin positions and deposits. The result is faster, more efficient transactions, lower gas usage, and a cleaner, more robust architecture

We’ve also added browser push notifications to the web app for LTV thresholds and liquidation alerts, along with direct protocol parameters querying for faster asset listings

Now that the dust has settled after the market wiped out nearly $20B, it’s time to look at how Nolus held up under one of the toughest stress tests in DeFi history


1️⃣ Protocol Resilience
Nolus faced its biggest real-world trial yet and held strong

From a total position value of $2.61M before the crash:
→ $146K (5.6%) were partial liquidations
→ $129K (5%) were full liquidations

Exceptionally low rates given the market conditions

2️⃣ Smarter Price Feeds
The Nolus oracle applies a 10-minute EMA (Exponential Moving Average) to trim outliers. For instance, $ATOM printed $2.78 on Nolus — while some CEXs hit $0.001

This design prevented unnecessary liquidations and protected users’ positions

3️⃣ The Market Anomaly Guard (MAG) protected $610K from wrongful liquidation (~23.4% of total protocol value). Funds that would’ve been wiped elsewhere stayed intact here

4️⃣ Infrastructure
Even as markets broke structure, the network, relayers, and oracle feeders ran flawlessly
