🇱🇹 Lithuania's President Nausėda has criticized German Chancellor Merz for failing to follow through on promised sanctions against Russia after it ignored a ceasefire ultimatum.

"This undermines trust—not just in sanctions, but in all support for Ukraine," Nausėda told Bild, urging tougher EU action.

EU's 18th sanctions package is now in the works.

🇺🇦 Ukrainian forces have captured a former commander of a Russian Caspian Flotilla minesweeper. Capt. Lt. Oleksii Mamaiev was taken prisoner near Tyotkino (Kursk region), where Ukrainian troops advanced and seized Russian positions. Once commander of a Caspian minesweeper (2013), he was serving as a platoon leader in Russia’s 165th battalion at the time of capture.

🇸🇰🇪🇺 Slovakia will block any EU sanctions against Russia that harm national interests, says PM Fico.

He opposes a ban on Russian nuclear fuel imports and adds:

“I want to be a constructive player in the EU, but not at Slovakia’s expense.”

❗️The U.S. has transferred 20,000 missiles to the Middle East that were originally intended for Ukraine, in line with prior agreements with the Biden administration, President Zelensky stated.

These missiles were meant for countering Shahed drones.

Alert: Up to 600 drones are expected over Ukraine tonight, primarily approaching from the north, with potential launches from multiple directions, monitoring sources report.

Repeated and additional launches are reportedly already underway, especially from Russia’s Kursk region.
