President Zelenskyy is counting on a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the G7 summit, scheduled for June 15–17. The visit of Ukraine’s delegation to the U.S. this week aimed in part to prepare for this potential meeting, according to Andriy Yermak.

Flight restrictions were briefly imposed under the "Kilim" protocol at Moscow’s Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports amid reports of a drone threat. Mayor Sobyanin claimed one UAV was shot down. Footage circulating online allegedly shows the incident. Restrictions have since been lifted.

Donald Trump reponded to Ukraine's recent strikes on Russian strategic aviation, claiming they gave Russia a reason to escalate: “Ukraine gave them a reason to go in and bomb the hell out of them.” He added, “When I saw it, I thought – now there will be a strike.”

Russia launched a combined overnight strike on Kharkiv, targeting Kyivskyi and Osnovianskyi districts — local administration. A residential building was hit, killing 2 and injuring 17 civilians. A civilian enterprise was also struck, causing a large fire in four buildings — people may still be trapped under the rubble.

Russia struck Kharkiv with 53 Shahed drones, two missiles, and four guided bombs (KABs), killing three people and injuring 17 others — Mayor of Kharkiv.

Overnight, Ukraine’s air defense neutralized 174 aerial targets. In total, Russia launched 215 drones and missiles. Ukrainian forces shot down 87 Shahed drones, 6 Kh-59/69 guided missiles, and 1 Iskander-K cruise missile. Another 80 drones were jammed by electronic warfare. Strikes were reported at 10 locations across the country.

He added that such a view shows a lack of understanding of the tragedy Ukrainians are living through.
