🇹🇷 In Istanbul, talks have begun between Ukrainian and Russian delegations, mediated by Turkey.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 In the second round of talks in Istanbul, Russia and Ukraine will discuss a ceasefire, exchange of POWs and civilians, and a possible meeting between the two presidents — Turkish FM confirms.

💥 A Ukrainian Su-27 from Ukraine's 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade destroyed a Russian air defense system, reportedly using a U.S.-made HARM anti-radiation missile. This would be the first confirmed video of a HARM destroying a Russian SAM.

🇺🇦🇫🇮 Zelensky met Finnish PM Petteri Orpo in Vilnius.

“Our focus is on investing in Ukrainian weapons production and co-manufacturing. I shared details of our ‘Drone Line’ project, which has proven effective. We discussed how to scale it up,” the president said.

🇺🇦🇵🇱 Zelensky met with President of Poland Andrzej Duda to discuss bilateral relations, diplomatic efforts, and the need to maintain pressure on Russia to achieve a just peace. They also explored mutually beneficial economic projects.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 The first round of Russia–Ukraine talks in Istanbul has reportedly concluded. Russian media say the delegation again insisted that no U.S. representatives be present. If there will be a second round of talks is not yet known.

⚡️In Istanbul, Ukraine handed Russia a list of Ukrainian children to be returned, said Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. The list includes hundreds of children illegally deported, forcibly transferred, or held in temporarily occupied territories.

🇺🇦 “Today we agreed on new partnerships to strengthen our defense. These include new aid packages and investments in Ukraine’s weapons production, especially drones. I thank our partners for investing not only in our security, but in Europe’s as well,” President Zelensky said at a press conference in Vilnius.

"Talks in Istanbul have just ended, I am waiting for a report from the Minister of Defense. We exchanged documents and we are preparing a new release of prisoners of war," Zelensky.

"The key to lasting peace is clear: Putin must get nothing that justifies his aggression. Any reward shows him that war pays off. If Putin decides who joins NATO or where NATO’s infrastructure can be, his appetite for war will only grow," Zelensky.

🇺🇦🇷🇺 A third round of Ukraine-Russia talks will take place “at some point,” though no exact date has been set, Russian media report.

Today's negotiations have concluded, and both delegations are leaving Turkey. The Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that the talks did not end negatively.

🇷🇺 Russia didn’t want the US at the Istanbul talks. “Back in May, they insisted Americans weren’t allowed in the room. We don’t get why it matters so much to them. We think the US should be there. What are they hiding? That’s the real question,” said Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s Heorhii Tykhy.

“We have agreed on prisoner exchanges — details coming soon,” says Ukrainian Defense Minister Umerov. He also stressed the return of all civilians and abducted children as well as the bodies of fallen soldiers.

🇺🇦🇷🇺 Ukraine and Russia have agreed to a "all for all" exchange of seriously wounded and ill prisoners of war, as well as all soldiers aged 18–25. — Ukrainian Defense minister Umerov confirmed.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russia and Ukraine have also agreed to exchange the bodies of fallen soldiers on a "6000 for 6000" basis, — Rustem Umerov.

“We propose an unconditional ceasefire in the air, at sea, and on land for 30 days.”

Defense Minister Umerov also said Ukraine received a memorandum from the Russian side and will have one week to review it before agreeing on next steps.

Both sides avoided handshakes and offered no concrete peace proposals. The only agreement reached was on further prisoner exchanges. Umerov confirmed Russia rejected ceasefire and leaders’ meeting.

Russian delegation leader Medinsky says they’ve agreed on the biggest prisoner exchange yet—over a thousand people, including young soldiers and the seriously wounded. Russia also proposed short 2-3 day ceasefires in certain areas so commanders can recover their fallen troops.

Medinsky claims Russia got a list of 339 children “in difficult situations” from Ukraine—and insists none were kidnapped, only “rescued” by Russian soldiers.
