"The enemy launched a mechanized assault in the Kursk region in panic after losing positions to our advance. Their equipment was redirected to the flanks but destroyed near our border. We have losses too—enemy aviation and artillery are hitting our forces hard, trying to halt our progress."

🇷🇺 Rybar: Ukraine’s attack near Bolshoye Soldatskoye in Kursk may be a diversion. The main strike could target another area.

"Evidence? Troops and equipment, including EW systems, have been moving through Kharkiv’s ring road—likely toward Sumy—where Ukraine has built up forces for weeks. The real battle might still be ahead."

After that, the column following the mine clearing vehicle can also be seen. The leading tank is struck. Damage is unclear as the aftermath isn't shown.

According to Russian sources, Ukrainian forces are actively bombing the Kinburn Spit in the last few days.

"In the last few days, the enemy has been carrying out combined attacks on the group's units performing combat missions on the Kinburn Spit. On the evening of January 3 and 4, in the southwest of the spit, the positions of our volunteers were fired upon by the Ukrainian Armed Forces artillery, and then massively attacked by Baba Yaga-type copters. Russian monitoring channels report the launch of naval drones towards the shores of occupied Kherson and Crimea.

Russian milblogger Romanov persists in his previous claims.

"What happened today is not the main blow. I repeat, the main one will be at the junction of Belgorod and Kursk regions. there is still time to prepare."

The situation, as far as we can analyze it based on geolocated footage, is now like this. Ukraine advanced to the very outskirts of Berdin and Novosotnitskii, entered it, but it is not yet clear if there is a foothold. Active fighting is reported. It doesn't look like Ukraine is fully committing, yet.

Satellite imagery from today shows numerous new shell craters in fields south of Berdin, mainly along the road Ukrainian forces used to attack. Ukraine managed to land troops in the village.

In a number of regions, the Ukrainian Air Force is detecting Russian strike drones. According to Ukrainian monitoring channels up to 60 of them are now in Ukrainian territory.
