🇺🇦 Yermak told Trump envoy Steve Witkoff that Russia’s stance in the Istanbul talks remains unconstructive. He called for tougher sanctions and invited Witkoff to Ukraine to see the battlefield reality firsthand.
🇺🇸 The White House says no new sanctions on Russia will happen without Trump’s sign-off. Spox Karoline Leavitt stressed that sanctions remain “a tool” and credited Trump’s “persistence” for bringing Ukraine and Russia to direct talks.

🔥 A fire broke out overnight at a diesel engine production facility in Yaroslavl.

The facility is part of the Yaroslavl Motor Plant “Avtodizel,” a major manufacturer of various engines, including those used by the Russian military.
