❗️Russian state agency TASS, citing Rosatom chief Alexei Likhachev, said a drone strike killed occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP chief engineer Alexander Yakovlev and his driver. After Russia occupied Enerhodar, Yakovlev sided with Moscow, took Russian citizenship, and joined Rosatom.

Calls for protests against Fedorov’s dismissal have appeared across 15 Ukrainian cities for July 16. Soldiers and civil society activists linked to the earlier NABU and SAPO protests are involved. Organizers urged people not to attend until local authorities formally approve the rallies.

Russia launched S-400 ballistic missiles at Kyiv in two waves. Explosions were heard across the capital, with both impacts and interceptions recorded before the airspace was declared clear.

Serhii Sternenko and Serhii Flash resigned as Defense Ministry advisers after Mykhailo Fedorov’s dismissal. Sternenko said key FPV procurement reforms were unfinished, while Flash said he lost access to systems used to analyze Russian actions and support the military.

Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with 8 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, 4 Kh-22/32 cruise missiles, 1 Kh-31P missile, 5 Banderol munitions, and 146 drones. Air defenses downed 3 ballistic missiles and 129 drones. Five ballistic missiles, 1 Kh-31P, and 16 drones hit targets.

Ukrainian Air Force Deputy Commander Pavlo Yelizarov said he has submitted his resignation, saying the decision follows Fedorov’s resignation as defense minister. He added that he joined Ukraine’s Defense Forces in 2022 “to win, not imitate activity.”

The SBU says Mamai naval drones, operating with the Ukrainian Navy, struck the sanctioned Russian shadow fleet tankers Louise 1 and Banda in the Black Sea. Russian aircraft reportedly tried to stop the attack with machine guns and bombs but failed.
