Wie immer ohne einen einzigen „missed proposal“ wurde die Staatenlos Node 🌍 gestern auf die Version 1.0.4 geupdated.

Ein weiteres kritisches Update wurde ohne "missed proposal" auf 1.0.5 - aufgrund der "log4j" Thematik - eingespielt

Hallo liebe Staatenlos-Community,
wie von Anfang an angekündigt wird jetzt die Gebühr von 0,5 auf 2,5% erhöht.

Mit dem Eingang dieser Nachricht werden wir diese Erhöhung im System einpflegen und ab dann vergehen 500 Epochen bis diese Erhöhung auch wirklich in Kraft tritt. Aktuell hat eine Epoche 37 Minuten, also sind 500 Epochen etwa 12-13 Tage lang. Dementsprechend sollte die Erhöhung etwa am 28.-29. Januar umgesetzt sein. 📅

Grundsätzliches zum Verständnis der Gebühren bei Radix. Dazu sollte ein Beispielstaker mit 100.000 XRD helfen:

100.000 XRD = aktuell 11% APY (Zinsen pro Jahr) = 11.000 XRD zusätzlichen Einnahmen pa.
0,5% Gebühr von den 11.000 XRD = 55 XRD = 10.945 XRD
2,5% Gebühr von den 11.000 XRD = 275 XRD = 10.725 XRD
In einem ganzen Jahr ist das also ein Unterschied von 220 XRD weniger Einnahmen. 💡

Vielen Dank für Deine großartige Unterstützung! Wir sind schon auf Platz 16 angekommen und wir würden uns natürlich freuen, wenn Du uns trotz der Erhöhung erhalten bleibst. Falls Du aufgrund dessen wechseln möchtest, dann beachte bitte die 500 Epochen Unstaking-Periode, in denen Du keine Ausschüttungen erhältst (etwa 12-13 Tage lang). Also rechne für dich die entsprechende Rentabilität dieser Entscheidung aus. 👩‍🔬

Wir behalten uns natürlich vor in Zukunft die Gebühren wieder zu senken und richten uns da auch nach dem was andere Nodebetreiber machen und wie sich der Markt im Allgemeinen entwickelt.

Hello Staatenlos community,
as announced from the very beginning, the fee will now be increased from 0.5 to 2.5%.

With the arrival of this message we will implement this increase in the system and from then on 500 epochs will pass until this increase really comes into effect. Currently one epoch has 37 minutes, so 500 epochs are about 12-13 days long. So the increase should be implemented around January 28-29. 📅

Basic information on how to understand the fees at Radix. An example staker with 100,000 XRD should help with this:

100,000 XRD = current 11% APY (interest per year) = 11,000 XRD additional revenue pa.
0.5% fee from the 11,000 XRD = 55 XRD = 10,945 XRD
2.5% fee from the 11,000 XRD = 275 XRD = 10,725 XRD
So in a whole year that is a difference of 220 XRD less revenue. 💡

Thank you very much for your great support! We have already reached rank 16 and we would of course be happy if you stay with us despite the increase. If you want to switch because of this, please note the 500 epochs unstaking period in which you will not receive any payouts (for about 12- 13 days). So calculate for yourself the profitability of this decision. 👩‍🔬

Of course, we reserve the right to lower the fees again in the future and we will also follow what other node runners are doing and how the market is developing in general.

Partnerschaft mit Radical Staking und RadixDLT Staking 🤝

Diese Allianz ist aus dem Grundgedanken entstanden eine 100% Uptime für euch als Staker zu gewährleisten, auch für jene Fälle im Leben, die keiner so richtig vorhersehen kann.

Radical Staking und RadixDLT Staking werden die Staatenlos Node 🌍 mit einer Backup-Node wieder online bringen, falls wir als Betreiber es nicht in jenem Moment selbst gewährleisten können. Gleiches gilt selbstverständlich auch andersherum und wir werden eine Backup-Node für einen der anderen Partner zur Verfügung stellen, solange bis das Problem des Ausfalls wieder behoben wurde.

Natürlich haben wir als Staatenlos Node 🌍 neben der Validatoren-Node, zwei „warme“ gesyncte Backup-Nodes an unterschiedlichen Standorten vorbereitet, damit wir eigenständig die Probleme gelöst bekommen. Diese Partnerschaft ist nur für große Ausnahmefälle gedacht. Zum Beispiel wird Lukas diese Woche für Ociswap nach Miami fliegen, falls wirklich etwas an der Node passieren sollte während des Fluges, dann wissen unsere Partner bereits vorher Bescheid und werden für diesen unwahrscheinlichen Fall gleich einspringen können.

Diese Partnerschaft basiert auf einer großen Vertrauensbasis, beide Node-Betreiber sind schon lange aktiv und sehr geschätzt in der Radix-Community. Auch haben wir bereits mehrere Video-Calls miteinander geführt und Details abgesprochen. Bitte lasst doch auch gerne bei beiden ein Stake da:

This alliance is born from the basic idea to guarantee a 100% uptime for you as a delegator, even for those cases in life that no one can really foresee.

Radical Staking and RadixDLT Staking will bring the Staatenlos Node 🌍 back online with a backup node if we as operators cannot guarantee it ourselves at that specific moment. Of course, the same applies the other way around and we will provide a backup node for one of the other partners until the problem of the outage is fixed again.

Es bleibt spannend zu beobachten wie schnell und zahlreich die anderen Nodes auf diese Version wechseln werden, wenn das Zeitfenster verpasst wird, kann es sein das hier einzelne Nodes komplett aus der künftigen Validierung herausfallen nach der dann erfolgten Abspaltung.

The enactment thresholds are as follows:

Once validators with at least 85% of the active voting power show readiness for the fork, if this threshold is maintained for 320 epochs (roughly 7D 0H 1M 0S), and the epoch is within the allowable fork range above; then the fork will enact.
Future Radix Protocol Forks will come with a more detailed set of enactment thresholds, but with some nodes not yet running 1.22, the decision was made to opt for a simpler threshold for this first fork, which should give us approximately a week of certainty about the fork epoch.

Mit der Ungewissheit um Hetzner und PoS-Nodes, haben wir uns dazu entschieden jetzt mit DigitalOcean und New York mehr Varianz und Unabhängigkeit zu gewinnen. Der Wechsel ist gestern erfolgreich erfolgt mit nur einer „missed proposal“.

Wir halten weiterhin die Augen offen, zusammen mit unseren Partnernodes, welche guten Alternativen für Backup-Nodes auch innerhalb Europas zur Verfügung stehen. Hetzner bleibt solange als Backup bestehen (in Deutschland und Finnland).

Staatenlos Node is now independent of individual providers and locations.

With the uncertainty around Hetzner and PoS nodes we decided to gain more variance and independence with DigitalOcean and New York. The switch was successfully made yesterday with only one "missed proposal".

We keep our eyes open together with our partner nodes, to choose good alternatives for backup nodes that are also available within Europe. Hetzner will remain as backup for the time being (in Germany and Finland).

Die Ruhe vor dem Sturm 🍃

Es wurde etwas ruhig in den vergangenen Wochen, zu keiner Zeit war der Grund dafür verlorenes Interesse sondern ganz im Gegenteil: Hinter den Kulissen war und ist es so stressig wie noch nie zuvor! 💪

Während es wahrscheinlich aus Communitysicht aktuell langweilig oder mit Blick auf den Gesamtmarkt eher weniger rosig aussieht, steht das Radix-Netzwerk mit all seinen angekündigten dApp-Projekten kurz vor dem wichtigsten Meilenstein seit Gründung des Projektes vor fast genau 10 Jahren.

Mit Babylon kommen Smart Contracts für das Mainnet in Q2. Vom Kernteam RDX Works nochmals bestätigt, wird diese Zielsetzung wahrscheinlich eingehalten werden können. Realistisch rechnen wir mit Juni. ✅

Bis dahin haben wir alle Hände voll zu tun. Die Staatenlos Node wird diese Umstellung auf das neue Babylon-Netzwerk vornehmen. In Vorbereitung haben wir nochmal unsere Homepage auf den aktuellen Stand gebracht und mittlerweile läuft unsere Hauptnode in Spanien und die Backup-Node weiterhin in den USA. Somit sind wir jetzt vollständig unabhängig von den Launen von Hetzner und haben eine Provider- sowie Standortunabhängigkeit geschaffen – ganz im Sinne der Flaggentheorie 😊

Darüber hinaus sind wir als Ociswap Mitgründer Teil des ersten Radix Grant Programms, damit haben wir seit Anfang Februar bis Ende April einen Marathon zu durchlaufen mit wöchentlichen Calls, einer Bootcamp-Woche in Österreich und Zielsetzungen, sowie der Möglichkeit mit einem eigenen Stand auf der Consensus Messe in Austin (USA) vertreten zu sein.

Das ganze Ociswap Team, insbesondere die vertretenen Florian und Lukas, freuen sich schon riesig darauf diese einmalige Chance nutzen zu können!
