🇧🇼🇳🇬 Akinwumi Adesina to chair Botswana and De Beers diamond fund
Botswana’s government and De Beers have appointed former African Development Bank president Akinwumi Adesina as chairperson of the Diamonds for Development Fund, created to use diamond proceeds to support economic growth and diversification in Botswana. De Beers has committed an upfront investment of BWP 1 billion, equivalent to $74.4 million, as well as annual contributions from its dividends from Debswana based on performance, and Adesina will formally assume the role on 15 June 2026.
The fund was established during negotiations concluded in 2025 that extended diamond mining licences for the 50:50 Debswana joint venture through 2054. The talks also produced a new 10-year sales and marketing agreement under which Botswana’s Okavango Diamond Company share of Debswana rough diamond sales will rise from 30% to 50% by 2035-40.

Как передает АЗЕРТАДЖ, новая система предполагает подразделение БПЛА на 3 категории операционного риска: дроны «открытого» и «специального» типов использования, а также «сертифицированные» беспилотники.
Причем «сертифицированным» летательным аппаратам будет разрешено летать над районами скопления людей, перевозить людей либо опасные грузы.
Возрастное ограничение для пилотов беспилотных летательных аппаратов в «открытой» и «специальной» категориях дронов составит 16 лет.
Посредством İHATTYS станет возможным отслеживание в режиме реального времени местоположения зарегистрированных дронов.
Лиц и структуры, использующие дроны вне рамок İHATTYS, ждут крупные штрафы.
Для беспилотных летательных аппаратов, зарегистрированных за рубежом, разрешение на полет в Турции необходимо будет получать как минимум за 20 дней до момента использования.
