🇺🇸🇻🇳 US probes Vietnam IP rules

The U.S. on Friday opened an unfair trade practices investigation into Vietnam's intellectual property protection policies and enforcement, according to the U.S. Trade Representative's office. The move, detailed in a Reuters report, targets Vietnam's IP framework under a U.S. trade probe.

The investigation was launched by the Trump administration and centers on whether Vietnam's IP protections and enforcement constitute unfair trade practices. The USTR said the case could lead to new tariffs or other trade measures.

The immediate implication is a potential new trade pressure point in U.S.-Vietnam economic ties. Any punitive outcome would be tied to the findings of the U.S. investigation.

🇺🇦 Zelensky: We held a special meeting on our further actions.

First: diplomacy. Almost daily in contact with representatives of the President of the US and European partners. We recorded what is currently happening with the supply of air defense and with our agreements in general.

We identified priorities for the next few weeks: anti-ballistics, bilateral documents on the production and supply of drones, in particular the Drone Deal with the European Union, and preparation of meetings in several formats. We are preparing for important negotiations - for now without public details.

Second: we need to continue the humanitarian track, those exchanges that have already been agreed upon. I instructed to contact partners who can now intensify the necessary mediation.

Third: there will be new solutions to support Ukraine, in particular our energy sector. We are finalizing the details. Glory to Ukraine!

🇺🇸🇺🇦 Hegseth: What you'll see in President Trump's 2027 budget is $56 billion in investment in drone dominance.

We continue to learn from what Ukraine has done on the battlefield. We've learned so much from Ukraine and how they operate.

Where we can help Ukraine, we have. Where we can enable Europe to do more, we have.

If you look at the amount of money that's been spent, Europe has stepped up and Ukraine has been just as, if not more, effective in the process.

So, we want them to be able to defend, and we'll find a way to make sure we can help them.
