💬 “We know that these two groups are operating not only within Brazil, but in other countries as well,” Amanda told Jornal Nacional, on TV Globo. “Including, we have observed their activities in 12 states here in the United States.” She added that the activities attributed to the groups include money laundering, the transportation of contraband goods, drug trafficking, and human trafficking.

❗️ Amanda emphasized that the measure does not provide for any type of U.S. military intervention in Brazil. Among the consequences are visa restrictions for members of the organizations, the freezing of assets in the United States, the prohibition of financial transactions, and the criminalization of material support for the groups.

➡️ The spokesperson also stated that cooperation with Brazilian authorities will continue. “We already have more than 200 years of coordination in many different areas, including security, and that coordination will continue as well,” she said.

💬 Flávio acknowledged the complexity of combating criminal organizations but said he believes it is possible to build a government willing to confront the problem forcefully. According to him, the goal would be to fight a system that operates “aggressively and unfairly,” with a focus on “restoring peace and security for the Brazilian population.” While advocating for joint action among countries in the fight against criminal organizations, Flávio stated that Brazil occupies a strategic position in this effort.
