❗️Russia wanted to bring up to 100,000 voters to Armenia to help unseat Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the elections, Reuters reports.

According to the agency, Russian officials discussed organizing the transportation of Armenians living in Russia to Armenia so they could vote against the incumbent prime minister.

Reuters sources claim that the Kremlin even calculated the cost of such an operation — approximately $50 million — and distributed quotas among Russian regions based on the number of potential voters.

The report also says that Moscow has intensified disinformation campaigns against Pashinyan and engaged organizations previously linked to election interference and anti-Ukrainian political activities.

Pashinyan remains the frontrunner ahead of the election. According to the latest polls, his party could receive around 30% of the vote, while the party of businessman Samvel Karapetyan, who is considered close to Moscow, is polling at about 6%.
