🇺🇦 Amid the intensification of Russian air attacks, Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Andrii Melnyk, called on Western partners to increase support for Ukrainian air defense tenfold during a UN Security Council meeting.

“We need to better protect the skies over our cities. We need to better protect and save the lives of civilians,” Melnyk said.

He also called for tougher sanctions against Moscow, the adoption of a UN Security Council resolution on an immediate cessation of hostilities, and a prisoner exchange based on the principle of “all for all.”

In addition, Melnyk once again raised the issue of stripping Russia of its status as a permanent member of the Security Council and stressed that Ukrainian strikes on military facilities inside Russia reduce Moscow’s ability to wage war.

🇹🇼 Foxconn starts CPO shipments

Foxconn Chairman Young Liu said the company will begin shipping next-generation transmission technology for AI data centers, with CPO tray shipments set to reach 10,000 units this year. The announcement ties the rollout directly to AI data center infrastructure.

The product is framed as transmission technology for next-generation AI data centers. The only quantified target given is 10,000 CPO tray units this year.

The shipment target indicates Foxconn is moving from development into commercial delivery in the AI data center supply chain. That places the company in a more direct role in hardware linked to AI infrastructure buildout.

Ukraine's General Staff reports strikes on Volgograd oil refinery, Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station, Tor-M2 air defense system and drone control points. The Volgograd refinery, processing 14 million tons annually for Russian military logistics, halted production after hits on primary processing units and fires.

Two oil tanks caught fire at Yaroslavl-3 station, a key node on the Surgut-Polotsk pipeline carrying Siberian oil to Baltic ports. Additional strikes targeted command posts, logistics warehouses and troop concentrations across multiple regions.

Похоже, началось дистанционное минирование тыловых дорог с украинских дронов. То, чего мы и опасались:

Регулярно разбрасываемые вдоль дорог даже небольшие мины могут привести к транспортному коллапсу на этих участках, так как придется регулярно перекрывать движение для обследования местности и ее разминирования."

Как бороться с этой проблемой - не ясно. Россыпи маломощных мин на дорогах без труда смогут выводить из строя небронированные военные и гражданские автомобили, теперь уже включая и обычные легковушки с автобусами.

Повторимся, что массовое применение мин на дорогах грозит транспортным коллапсом и перекрытием трасс гораздо вероятнее, чем просто целенаправленные удары дронов-камикадзе по машинам.
