Заместитель премьер-министра и министр иностранных дел Пакистана Мохаммад Исхак Дар прибыл в Вашингтон с официальным визитом и должен встретиться с госсекретарем США Марко Рубио, сообщает пакистанское ведомсво.
Ожидается, что Дар и Рубио обсудят двусторонние отношения и региональные вопросы.
Дар вернется в Исламабад позже в тот же день после завершения официальных мероприятий.

🇹🇼 Тайвань завершает строительство корветов типа «Туоцзян»
🔻 На верфи Lungteh Shipbuilding в Суао 28 мая состоялся спуск на воду 12-го корвета с бортовым номером 632. Корабль должен пройти морские испытания с поставкой военно-морских силам до конца 2026 года.
Известно, что корветы «Даньцзян» (б.н. 627) и «Люцзян» (б.н. 628) поставлены флоту 11 марта и 5 мая этого года соответственно. 10-й корабль типа «Туоцзян» (б.н. 629) проходит ходовые испытания, а 11-й (б.н. 630) и 12-й (б.н. 632) вскоре приступят к ним.
На фоне роста активности КНР у восточного побережья острова тайваньские военные эксперты отдельно указывают на угрозу со стороны китайских гражданских судов двойного назначения. Отмечается, что в мае у берегов Иланя фиксировались китайские ролкеры «Чандалун», «Чанфалун», «Юаньхэкоу», «Танхун» и «Чантайхун», а также исследовательские суда «Тунцзи» и «Цзягэн», занимавшиеся гидрографической разведкой.
Тайваньская сторона прямо связывает эти действия с концепцией «военно-гражданской интеграции» НОАК. Отмечается, что Пекин заранее собирает гидрологические данные, акустические сигнатуры и информацию для противолодочных операций, одновременно размывая границы запретных зон вокруг острова.

🌍 AfDB Economic Outlook 2026 says Middle East war will weigh on African growth
The African Development Bank said in its 2026 African Economic Outlook, released at the Bank’s annual meetings in Brazzaville, that the ongoing war in the Middle East is expected to slow growth across Africa. The AfDB forecasts real GDP per capita growth at 1.9% in 2026, down from 2.1% in 2025, before a rebound to 2.2% in 2027, still below the 3.5% level it says is needed to enhance inclusive growth. It also projects average inflation at 10.4% in 2026, 0.9 percentage points above its pre-war estimate in January, and said the currencies of 27 African countries have depreciated against the dollar.
The Bank said the impact will vary by region, with Central Africa expected to grow faster at 3.8% in 2026 from 3.6% in 2025 due to higher commodity prices, while East Africa is projected to slow to 5.9% from 6.6% because of supply chain disruptions, higher energy and import costs, and rising food security risks linked to tensions in the Middle East and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

🇳🇴🇪🇺 Europe should have a seat at the table in any talks on ending the Russia-Ukraine war, Norway’s foreign minister told POLITICO. But don’t call them a “mediator.”
“I think having a European voice at the metaphorical table is right,” he said after a huddle with chief EU diplomat Kaja Kallas. “My view is that Europe has some real interests of its own that in some ways coincide with Ukraine’s, but also go beyond them.”
Eide’s comments clashed with those made by Kallas, who said a debate on a special envoy for talks with Russia was a “trap”, adding the EU should instead define its strategy toward Moscow and focus on the bloc’s “core interests.”
