😳🇺🇸 The FBI has arrested a former CIA employee: $40 million in gold bars were found during a search of his home, - CBS News.
The former CIA employee, David Rush, has already been charged with embezzlement of government funds.
Investigators allege he embezzled gold bars, illegally received "inflated salaries and improperly obtained military leave," and provided false information about his past.
The documents note that between November 2025 and March of this year, Rush repeatedly requested large sums of foreign currency and tens of millions of dollars in gold from the government for official expenses.
During a search of his home, FBI agents discovered approximately 303 gold bars worth over $40 million, as well as approximately $2 million in cash and 35 luxury watches.

Владелец условного НПЗ скидывается на покупку условных турелей «Цитадель» или «Зубр» (ну или пикапа с пулеметом, у кого на что денег хватит), после чего они передаются на баланс военным, которые должны их установить возле этого самого условного НПЗ и его охранять.
В целом, идея даже здравая, особенно на фоне дефицита всего. Конечно, тут возникает вопрос в механизме гарантий, чтобы эти средства ПВО внезапно не переехали на охрану другого завода или вообще куда-нибудь под Малую Токмачку.
Но если государство и армия заинтересованы в сохранении инвестиций бизнеса в приобретение ПВО, также, как этот бизнес заинтересован в своей защите, то таких маневров быть не должно, иначе весь механизм рухнет, а на зенитки для армии скидываться после такого просто перестанут.
Следовательно, если опубликованный РБК текст истрактован верно, то пока государство не готово разрешать бизнесу владеть своими небольшими воинскими формированиями с тяжелым вооружением, что совершенно не удивительно после выкрутасов Пригожина. Но одновременно это и значительно ограничит эффективность такой работы.

Ми давно переросли межі одного міста, закріпившись в Ужгороді, Мукачеві, Берегові та Воловці, і сьогодні продовжуємо працювати над відкриттям нових Хабів та спортивних залів у різних куточках Закарпаття.
У щоденній роботі ми бачимо, як до нашої спільноти долучаються нові люди, які своїми справами, досвідом та енергією допомагають рухатися вперед. Саме заради цього ми продовжуємо працювати далі, щоб наші побратими та посестри завжди мали місце, де їх розуміють, цінують і чекають.
