Meteor производства MBDA считается одной из наиболее совершенных ракет класса «воздух–воздух» в Европе. Её дальность превышает 120 км, а максимальная дистанция поражения оценивается до 200 км. Главное преимущество ракеты — прямоточный двигатель с регулировкой тяги. Благодаря этому Meteor сохраняет энергию и скорость даже на большой дистанции, что позволяет эффективно поражать маневрирующие цели на дальностях 60–90 км. У имеющихся у Украины AIM-120 таких возможностей существенно меньше.

Для российской авиации это означает необходимость раньше выполнять манёвры уклонения после обнаружения пуска, что усложнит применение КАБов у линии фронта. Таким образом, Meteor может стать не столько средством увеличения числа воздушных побед, сколько инструментом ограничения активности российской авиации у фронта.

Gripen, в свою очередь, изначально проектировался под эксплуатацию в условиях угрозы со стороны превосходящего противника: с возможностью быстрого обслуживания, рассредоточения и работы даже с временных аэродромов. Для Украины эти качества имеют особую ценность.

😳🇺🇸 The FBI has arrested a former CIA employee: $40 million in gold bars were found during a search of his home, - CBS News.

The former CIA employee, David Rush, has already been charged with embezzlement of government funds.

Investigators allege he embezzled gold bars, illegally received "inflated salaries and improperly obtained military leave," and provided false information about his past.

The documents note that between November 2025 and March of this year, Rush repeatedly requested large sums of foreign currency and tens of millions of dollars in gold from the government for official expenses.

During a search of his home, FBI agents discovered approximately 303 gold bars worth over $40 million, as well as approximately $2 million in cash and 35 luxury watches.
