Israel is preparing a new military operation in Lebanon. 🇮🇱 🇱🇧
Following the extension of the ceasefire, the Israeli military has intensified its operations in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley, targeting “infrastructure and positions linked to Hezbollah,” resulting in several death, injuries & displaced.
According to Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health, the Israeli aggression since March 2 has caused more than 3,111 deaths and 9,432 injuries.
The new operation, dubbed Arrows of Fire, is being considered by the Israeli military leadership and government to expand the zone of occupation and attacks against the Lebanese resistance. This is also taking place amid disagreements between Tel Aviv and Washington over the continuation of the regional war, in which the U.S. appears more inclined toward an “understanding” with Iran, while Israel wants to continue its policy of destroying the Iranian state and the axis of resistance, with Operation Arrows of Fire serving as a continuation of these policies.

🇨🇩 Police fire warning shots as crowds try to reclaim Ebola victims' bodies in eastern DR Congo

Police fired shots into the air on Sunday in Mongwalu in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo after angry crowds tried to take back the bodies of two people who died at an Ebola treatment centre, according to local journalists and hospital officials. The unrest followed an overnight attack from Friday into Saturday in which an isolation tent at the same hospital compound was set on fire. Officials say the current outbreak has recorded more than 900 suspected cases and 220 suspected deaths.

The body of an Ebola victim is highly infectious, and Red Cross volunteers are conducting safe burials under police protection. The violence comes amid deep distrust in affected communities, while DR Congo, Uganda and South Sudan have agreed on a $319m response plan, with 10% secured so far, according to Africa CDC.

⚡️Russians are increasingly losing trust in Putin — belief that Russia is on the “right course” has fallen to a critical 10.5%, according to recent USP survey data.

A record 84% of respondents also believe Putin is to blame for the large-scale fires in 2026, including in Tuapse. Meanwhile, 73.8% of Russians said that living in Russia has become dangerous.

Another major source of public frustration was the blocking of Telegram and internet restrictions, which undermined trust in Putin no less than the large-scale fires at oil refineries.

If you expand, we will expand.
To mark Liberation Day, Hezbollah released footage showcasing resistance operations conducted between 1986 and 2000 against Israeli occupation forces.
This serves not only to preserve historical memory but also as propaganda: the resistance against the invader continues... and it appears to have regained its effectiveness.
The advent of drones has changed the game, not only in Ukraine but also in the Middle East. With a very low cost compared to traditional weaponry and a difficulty in intercepting them, drones are taking a toll on Israeli troops, who have become highly vulnerable targets, compounded by continuous guerrilla harassment in the mountainous Lebanese terrain.

According to the Israeli MOD, three soldiers were killed by drones this week. However, visual evidence and the constant comings and goings of helicopters evacuating the wounded suggest that this figure could be higher.
If it manages to maintain the flow of drones, Hezbollah could deal a serious blow to Israeli morale and ranks, forcing Tel Aviv to take more drastic measures to tip the balance, such as the planned “Arrows of Fire” operation. However, this would also have serious consequences for the Israeli population, and anti-militarist sentiment could spread, thereby eroding support for Netanyahu—already weakened by corruption scandals—who is desperately seeking a new military victory to prolong his time in power.
