The first meeting of the International Health Regulations Emergency Committee on the Ebola disease outbreak caused by Bundibugyo virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda was held in 2026, according to temporary recommendations published by the World Health Organization. The committee reviewed the cross-border epidemic affecting both countries under the IHR framework.
