🙏 Consequences of the massive combined attack by the Russians:
• In Kyiv, the enemy killed one person. Another 21 people were injured, including a 15-year-old boy. Residential buildings, a dormitory, an office center, schools, a supermarket, and a shopping center were damaged.
• Three people are currently known to have been injured in the Kyiv region. The Oreshnik missile was probably used in the Bila Tserkva region.
• Nine people were injured in the Odesa region, including three children aged 8 to 12.
• Seven people were injured in the Dnipropetrovsk region, including a 3-month-old baby and a 4-year-old child.
• In Cherkasy, the Russians hit a high-rise building with a drone: 11 people were injured, including two children.

Russian milblogger Romanov mocked the overnight RS-26 Rubezh Oreshnik strike near Bila Tserkva, saying the missile was launched without a nuclear warhead and produced no real blasts. He ridiculed Russian claims of mass NATO and Ukrainian losses, calling it “very expensive metal in the ground” for a picture that few people still believe.

The United States State Department on 22 May 2026 labelled Crawford Capital, which manages most of South Sudan’s non-oil revenues, a corrupt entity. The department accused the company and its political allies of siphoning state funds, in a move that places pressure on a revenue network linked close to President Salva Kiir Mayardit’s office and family.
Africa Confidential reported that Crawford Capital and associated figures have also faced accusations from non-governmental organisations and the UN of diverting state resources and aid funds in alliance with political appointees.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Axios: The U.S. and Iran are close to signing a temporary 60-day deal that would reopen the Strait of Hormuz, ease some sanctions on Iran, and restart negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program.
In return, Iran would clear mines from the strait, allow free shipping, and commit to talks on limiting uranium enrichment and giving up highly enriched nuclear material.
The agreement is meant to prevent a wider regional war and reduce pressure on global oil markets. During the talks, U.S. forces would remain in the region, and sanctions relief would depend on Iran making verifiable concessions.
The draft also includes an understanding to end fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, though Israel has raised concerns about parts of the deal.
Trump and regional mediators hope to announce the agreement Sunday, but officials say negotiations are still fragile and could collapse at the last minute.
