💶 Lithuania has called for a renewed discussion on frozen Russian assets.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys said that the EU’s €90 billion loan does not cover all of Ukraine’s needs, and that frozen Russian assets remain an important source of support.

Vilnius stressed that the issue of using Russian assets to assist Ukraine remains on the table.

❗️❗️Today, Russia used almost its entire arsenal in an attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region: Shahed drones, ballistic missiles, Kalibrs, Kh-101s, Iskander-Ks, Oreshniks, and Zircons.

This was one of the largest attacks on the capital during the entire war.

❗️Kyiv is dealing with the aftermath of a massive Russian attack, the State Emergency Service reported.

Rescuers continue to work at the sites of strikes on civilian infrastructure and residential buildings.

Reports of fires and destruction were received from more than 40 locations across all districts of the capital.

Twenty-one people were injured, and one person was killed.

🇨🇳 China readies year-long space mission

China will launch the Shenzhou-23 spacecraft on Sunday from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, with one astronaut set to remain in orbit for about a year aboard the Tiangong space station, according to Nikkei Asia’s report. The mission is part of Beijing’s expanding human spaceflight program.

The launch comes as China targets a crewed moon landing by 2030 and continues to build out operational experience in long-duration missions. Extended stays in orbit are a key capability for sustaining an independent space station and for broader deep-space ambitions as China advances its aerospace and defense-industrial base.

The mission will further test China’s ability to support astronauts for longer periods in orbit. It also adds to the sequencing of milestones ahead of the country’s lunar timetable.
