Kurds are returning to Afrin. 🇸🇾
As part of the negotiations between Damascus and the SDF, the return of Kurdish civilians to Afrin has accelerated. Over the past three weeks, 1,300 families who had settled in Kobani and Hasakah after being expelled in 2018 by Turkish forces and the SNA following Operation Olive Branch have returned to their homes.
While this is good news, thousands of Kurds have yet to return to Afrin out of fear of reprisals from Syrian terrorists in the SNA and STG, who have illegally occupied their properties for the past six years, while uncertainty regarding a hypothetical coexistence remains.

He stated that he "has always found it strange" that Europe is overly dependent on the US for defense:
"It has always seemed strange to me that Europe, perhaps the richest region in the world, needs the support of another region to defend itself against Russia to the extent that it does now, when we are overly dependent on one ally, the United States."

В результате удара беспилотников по предприятию «Метафракс» в Пермском крае возник пожар, следует из анализа ASTRA.
Ранее в сети были опубликованы видеозаписи возгорания на территории завода, на которых видно поднимающийся дым.
Утром губернатор Пермского края подтвердил сообщения об атаке на предприятие.
Химический комплекс «АКМ» компании «Метафракс» расположен в городе Губаха и специализируется на производстве аммиака, карбамида и меламина.

Analyst Clement Molin mapped Ukraine's drone strike kill zones into 4 echelons based on video and photo evidence.
Echelon 1 covers ~20 km on both sides of the front. FPV drones operate 5-15 km deep. Everything moving gets targeted fast, casualties are heavy.
Echelon 2 reaches 50+ km. Extended-range FPVs via Starlink or added wings go after logistics, staging areas and key supply roads. Vehicle losses are high, especially unarmored ones.
Echelon 3 goes to 150 km. FP-2 drones and loitering munitions hit rear bases, ammo depots, training centers, air defense systems and fuel tankers on key routes, including the land corridor to Crimea through occupied territory.
Echelon 4 stretches up to 300 km toward Crimea and Russia. Targets include oil refineries, ports, industrial sites, fuel depots and command posts.
On top of that, FPV drones launched from naval USVs can now strike far beyond the front line.

🇪🇺 President Zelenskyy rejected Friedrich Merz’s proposal for Ukraine’s “associate membership” in the European Union, Reuters reports.
In a letter to EU leaders, President Zelenskyy described the idea of granting Ukraine “associate” status without voting rights as unfair.
“It would be unfair if Ukraine were present in the European Union but remained without voting rights. It is time to move forward on Ukraine’s membership in a full and meaningful way,” the letter states.
President Zelenskyy also stressed that Ukraine “defends Europe in full, not in part” and should therefore receive equal rights within the EU.
Earlier, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz proposed introducing an interim “associate member” status for Ukraine, which would allow partial integration into EU institutions and security mechanisms, but without full voting rights.

Following Jolani’s father’s insults toward the people of Deir Ezzor and his son’s failed attempts to apologize, the people of eastern Syria continue to protest against the Syrian Transitional Government. In Raqqa, protests are fueled by the authorities’ plans to demolish homes north of the railroad tracks and west of the Hazima traffic circle in the city of Raqqa (a phenomenon also occurring in Tartus against the Alawites), and in Hasakah by rising prices. At the same time, a clash in Yarubiyah between the STG and tribal forces left one dead and two wounded, raising concerns about a possible tribal mobilization to take control of the area.
