❗️ Israel preserved its munitions by making the U.S delete theirs: Very Jewish of them

The U.S. has depleted much of its inventory of advanced missile-defense interceptors after expending far more high-end munitions defending Israel than Israeli forces used themselves, per DOD assessments of Operation Epic Fury

The US fired more than 200 THAAD interceptors in defense of Israel — roughly half of the Pentagon’s total inventory — along with more than 100 SM-3 and SM-6 interceptors. By contrast, Israel fired fewer than 100 of its Arrow and around 90 David Sling interceptors

“The numbers are striking,” said @ka_grieco. “The US absorbed most of the missile defense mission while Israel conserved its own magazines...”

If the US and Israel resume hostilities in the coming days, the U.S. military would likely expend an even greater share of interceptors because of a recent decision by the Israeli military to take some of its missile defense batteries offline for maintenance

🗣В МИД РФ не видят оснований для рассуждений о замедлении диалога с США

"Не видим оснований, учитывая текущую динамику и интенсивность контактов между Россией и США на разных уровнях, рассуждать о замедлении двустороннего диалога. Скорее, следует отметить, что, сравнительно быстро продвинувшись в прошлом году на тех направлениях, где многолетний простой был очевиден и наносил ущерб обеим сторонам, мы переходим к решению более многоплановых, уходящих корнями в сложные политико-правовые перипетии проблем в отношениях", - заявил в интервью "Ведомостям" замглавы МИД России Сергей Рябков.

Он добавил, что для успешного диалога и от Москвы, и от Вашингтона потребуется "политическая воля и готовность смотреть на вещи трезво, не встраивая их в искаженную геополитической конъюнктурой "картинку".
