By May 1, Russian reserves had fallen to 2,298 tons—the lowest level since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Bloomberg notes that the Central Bank began reducing its gold reserves last year to help cover the budget deficit amid falling oil and gas revenues and support the ruble.

The refinery, with a capacity of 15 million tons per year and Lukoil's largest refinery, has stopped dispensing small-scale motor fuel shipments since Wednesday and has also suspended gasoline sales on the exchange.

— Promoting post-conflict reconstruction: international support for rebuilding conflict-affected areas, with China stating it is ready to play a constructive role.
