❗️ According to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Reyes Rivero took part in operations carried out by the regime of dictator Nicolás Maduro during demonstrations held after the Venezuelan presidential election in July 2024. The population protested following the vote, whose outcome remains disputed by the opposition and international organizations after Maduro declared himself the winner.

The U.S. accusations include armed repression against protesters, arbitrary detentions, and assaults against minors. The American government also alleges that authorities participated in efforts to sustain Chavismo during Venezuela’s political crisis.
