🇧🇷⚖️❌4️⃣ — Federal Justice accepts complaint against Workers Caused Party (PCO) president Rui Costa Pimenta for antisemitism

⚖️ A Federal Court accepted charges of antisemitism against two members of the PCO (Workers' Cause Party): the party's national president, Rui Costa Pimenta, and its national secretary, Henrique Áreas.

🇮🇱 The lawsuit was filed by Conib (Brazilian Israelite Confederation) for speeches considered discriminatory against the Jewish community made on social media between 2022 and 2024.

➡️ The party members were charged under Article 20, paragraph 2, of Law No. 7.716/89, known as the Racial Crimes Law, which criminalizes the conduct of practicing, inducing, or inciting discrimination or prejudice based on race, color, ethnicity, religion, or nationality.

🇺🇸🤝🇭🇳 — United States and Honduras strengthened their military alliance with new operations and tactical training aimed at disrupting drug trafficking routes in the Caribbean.

➡️ The United States Coast Guard trained Honduran special forces to intercept vessels and curb the advance of cartels in one of the regions hardest hit by transnational crime.

Paz has been in office mere months and is trying to clean his country of organized crime gangs, many responding to Morales, that have caused harm, violence, and economic hardship in Bolivia.
