نماینده چین در سازمان ملل و و رئیس دوره‌ای شورای امنیت، از پیش‌نویس قطعنامه پیشنهادی آمریکا و بحرین درباره تنگه هرمز انتقاد کرد و گفت که «محتوا و زمان‌بندی آن مناسب نیست و تصویبش کمکی نخواهد کرد.»

به گزارش رویترز، این پیش‌نویس قطعنامه از ایران می‌خواهد که حملات و مین‌گذاری در تنگه هرمز را متوقف کند. اما دیپلمات‌ها گفتند که اگر این قطعنامه به رای گذاشته شود، احتمالا با وتوی روسیه و چین روبه‌رو خواهد شد.

دو کشور ماه گذشته نیز قطعنامه مشابه مورد حمایت آمریکا را وتو کرده بودند و متن آن را علیه ایران «جانبدارانه» خواندند.

عباس عراقچی، وزیر خارجه جمهوری اسلامی، در واکنش به بالا رفتن قیمت انرژی در آمریکا، در ایکس نوشت: «در حال حاضر، افزایش قیمت بنزین و حباب بازار سهام را کنار بگذارید. درد واقعی زمانی آغاز می‌شود که بدهی آمریکا و نرخ وام‌های مسکن شروع به جهش کنند.»
او نوشت همین حالا هم میزان ناتوانی در بازپرداخت وام خودرو به بالاترین سطح خود در بیش از ۳۰ سال گذشته رسیده است، اما تمام این‌ها قابل اجتناب بود.
