According to a social survey by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM), 18% of Russians called the Ukrainian shelling the most important topic for them last week.

The Kirishi Oil Refinery in Russia’s Leningrad region has reportedly been unable to resume full operations for ten days, according to the Russian opposition publication Astra.

Ukrainian drone strikes are said to have disabled all primary oil refining units.

Surgutneftegaz, which owns the Kirishi refinery (KINEF), has reportedly informed contractors of a suspension in petroleum product shipments due to “force majeure circumstances” preventing the fulfillment of contractual obligations.

The authenticity of the document was confirmed to journalists by a company involved in KINEF product shipments.

According to sources, the refinery has been effectively shut down since the end of March after an initial attack. It was only briefly and partially restarted.

“All primary refining units were destroyed. The oil pipeline, storage tanks, and main gatehouse were also damaged.

The largest unit took several months to repair. We had just started shipments when another strike occurred on May 5,” the sources said.
