Despite the Syrian Transitional Government’s narrative of “remnants of the regime” to justify attacks against minorities, ISIS is currently the only insurgent group carrying out attacks against STG terrorists.
- In February, the start of a new phase for ISIS following the collapse of the SDF resulted in 14–15 deaths and 5 injuries
- In March, at least 22 attacks were reported across the country, leaving 15 dead and 7 injured among civilians and militants
- In April, there were at least 7 attacks, leaving 3 militants and 1 civilian dead, along with several injuries

Following the dismantling of the refugee camps and detention centres in eastern Syria, thousands of ISIS terrorists and their families have resettled in various uncontrolled areas of the country. This has enabled ISIS to restructure its sleeper cells more easily, carrying out more lethal and coordinated attacks beyond its traditional area of operations in the Raqqa and Deir Ezzor deserts.
But it is not only ISIS that is drawing strength from these new militants; there are also significant tribal sectors in Syria that sympathise with its ideas, in contrast to a Transitional Government that has been letting them down since February.

🇸🇸 US Urges South Sudan to Uphold 2018 Peace Deal, Condemns Machar Detention
Nick Checker, head of the US State Department Bureau of African Affairs, visited Juba last week and called on South Sudanese authorities to take urgent action to restore peace and implement the 2018 peace agreement ending the country's civil war. A US embassy statement issued Monday also condemned the detention of Vice President Riek Machar, leader of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-in-Opposition, who was arrested in March 2025 and charged with treason, murder, and crimes against humanity. Checker said it was farcical to claim inter-party dialogue was taking place while Machar remained on trial.
Fighting between government and opposition forces continues across South Sudan, with around 7.9 million people — nearly two-thirds of the population — facing severe hunger according to an April 2026 joint report by the government, the UN, and humanitarian organisations.

Согласно действующим нормам, президент России имеет возможность привлекать вооруженные силы страны для выполнения задач не по их предназначению.
Если закон подпишет президент России, он вступит в силу через 10 дней с момента опубликования, сообщает ТАСС.

توقف بارگیری نفت ایران از خارک
خبرگزاری بلومبرگ با استناد به تصاویر ماهوارهای گزارش داده که بارگیری نفت ایران از جزیره خارک، بزرگترین پایانه نفتی کشور، طی روزهای گذشته متوقف شده و مخازن نفت موجود در این جزیره نیز تقریباً به صورت کامل پر شده است.
همچنین شرکت ردیابی نفتکشها، تانکر ترکرز نیز گزارش داده که از زمان آغاز محاصره دریایی آمریکا علیه جمهوری اسلامی -طی یک ماه گذشته- صادرات نفت ایران به طور کامل متوقف شده است.
در صورت ادامه توقف صادرات و پر شدن دیگر مخازن نفتی خشکی ایران، جمهوری اسلامی مجبور به کاهش دست کم روزانه ۱.۲ میلیون بشکه تولید نفت خواهد بود و تنها به میزان مصرف داخلی نفت تولید خواهد کرد.
