Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha reported that Russia proposed including abducted Ukrainian children in prisoner exchange lists.

"The return of Ukrainian children must be a fundamental element of the peace process. There has been much speculation. Today, I want to state this officially: the fate of Ukrainian children will never be part of any compromise. Russia has already proposed including children in exchange lists. But this is unacceptable. The freedom of children is unconditional." - the Minister emphasized.

The combined rate of unemployment and potential labour force (formerly tracked as the expanded unemployment rate) increased by 1.6 percentage points to 43.7% in the first quarter.

The composite measure of labour underutilisation, which combines time-related underemployment, unemployment and potential labour force as a proportion of the extended labour force, was 46.3%.

🇿🇦 Ramaphosa Says There Is No Place for Xenophobia in South Africa After Anti-Migrant Attacks

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said on Monday that opportunists had orchestrated anti-immigrant attacks, stating there is no place in South Africa for xenophobia, ethnic mobilisation, intolerance or violence. The statement was released as an open letter by his office amid mounting diplomatic pressure. Nigeria last week organised emergency repatriation flights for 130 of its nationals, summoned South Africa's envoy in Abuja, and called for an investigation into the deaths of two Nigerians in incidents involving South African security personnel last month.

Ghana also summoned South Africa's ambassador last month to protest over acts of xenophobia, as a series of anti-migrant protests spread across South Africa in recent weeks.
