The vessel, operated by South Korean shipping firm HMM, was struck in the Strait of Hormuz under circumstances Seoul has not yet officially characterized.

Seoul faces a structural dilemma: formally blaming Iran risks entangling South Korea in a US-led Hormuz security framework it has already rebuffed, while silence draws pressure from Washington. The timing — proximate to high-stakes US-China diplomatic engagement — adds further incentive to defer a public attribution that could complicate regional alignments.

South Korea's posture reflects a calculated pause, not a definitive position, as it weighs alliance obligations against the cost of direct confrontation with Iran.

🔥 SSO hit arsenals, command post, enemy logistics in TOT and in Russia

In Sartan near Mariupol in Donetsk region, SSO middle-strike units hit ammunition depots of enemy units.

In Boykivske, a logistics depot and logistics center of enemy units were hit.

In occupied Mykolaivka in Donetsk region, SSO drones hit an enemy repair base, and in Svyatotroytske in Zaporizhzhia they hit an enemy command and observation post.

In Rovenky, Luhansk Oblast, SSO struck a temporary location of enemy mechanics, and in Kulykivske, Zaporizhzhia, an enemy training ground.

SSO Middle-strike unit also struck the location of an enemy drone unit in Novaya Tavolzhanka, Belgorod region, Russia.

🇿🇼 Mnangagwa Appoints Retired Army Commander Sibanda to Zanu-PF Politburo

Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed retired Zimbabwe Defence Forces commander General Philip Valerio Sibanda to the ruling Zanu-PF Politburo with immediate effect. The appointment was announced by party spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa, who cited Article 9, Section 65 as read with Section 67 of the Zanu-PF Constitution as the legal basis for the decision.

The Politburo is one of Zanu-PF's highest decision-making organs, responsible for shaping party policy and strategic direction. Sibanda is regarded as one of Zimbabwe's most senior military figures of recent decades.
