Russia increased its use of Molniya and Lancet drones across southern Ukraine in recent weeks, Southern Defense Forces spokesman Vladyslav Voloshyn said. He said daily drone use in the south rose to 2,500, including 700-800 Molniyas and Lancets.

🇲🇾 Malaysia Eyes Legal Action Against Meta Over Royal Impersonation

Malaysia's Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil announced the government is studying legal action against Meta after MCMC monitoring identified 15,296 fake accounts impersonating 26 royal family members across Facebook between January and April 2026. The matter has been raised with Meta multiple times, with responses deemed unsatisfactory. Potential action would proceed under Malaysia's Online Safety Act (ONSA).

The scale of the impersonation — targeting constitutionally protected royal institutions including the Selangor royal family — elevates this beyond a routine content moderation dispute. Malaysia has a pattern of asserting digital sovereignty through regulatory pressure, and ONSA provides a formal enforcement lever that previous frameworks lacked.

If pursued, legal proceedings would mark one of Southeast Asia's first direct state actions against Meta over royal or head-of-state impersonation at this volume.
