🇶🇦 Qatar has sent its first shipment of liquefied natural gas through the Strait of Hormuz since the war began — Bloomberg.

The vessel’s next destination is Pakistan. The tanker appeared to be heading along Tehran’s approved northern route, which runs along the Iranian coast through the Strait of Hormuz.

The move comes after several previous attempts by Qatar to send cargo through the Strait of Hormuz, but all tankers have turned back.

The country, which produced nearly a fifth of the world’s LNG last year, has not been able to take a single tanker out of the Persian Gulf since the war began in late February.

🇮🇩🇸🇬 Two Singaporeans Confirmed Dead at Mount Dukono

Indonesian rescue teams located the bodies of two missing Singaporean nationals near the crater rim of Mount Dukono on Halmahera Island, North Maluku province. The volcano began erupting Friday, sending ash columns up to 10km high, before continuing at reduced intensity. Some 150 personnel and two thermal drones were deployed to the site Sunday.

Evacuation of the bodies remained stalled due to ongoing eruptions and heavy rain. The search zone spans roughly 1.25km from the victims' last known position, with primary focus concentrated 100–150 metres from the crater rim. The victims were among a larger group of hikers — including nine Singaporeans — caught in the eruption earlier in the week.

Mount Dukono sits on the Pacific volcanic arc and is among Indonesia's most active volcanoes, posing recurring risk to recreational access on the island.

💯 The May 9 parade on Red Square looked like evidence of the decline of the Russian Federation, rather than a true celebration of victory, — The Telegraph.

The small number of old planes in the sky could not hide the fact that Russia's military resources are rapidly being spent on the front. Meanwhile, tanks from the Second World War were shown at local parades in various regions of the country, especially in the Far East.

There is an assumption that some of this old equipment is being put back into service due to the heavy losses of modern Russian armored vehicles in Ukraine. If true, this could indicate a serious depletion of the Kremlin's military resources.

In particular, the shortage of military personnel has also become noticeable. During the parade, Russian units were supplemented by military personnel from North Korea. The Telegraph writes that this looks unusual for a state that previously built its "military prestige" on the idea of complete self-sufficiency.
